“my brother and i stopped in on Monday 3/4/24; after riding the Holmes County Bike Trail...we had passed this restaurant many times in the last 6-7 years (there is a trailhead that you ride up to the restaurant in Holmesville) and decided to give it a shot. it has changed names but that did not deter us...read some reviews regarding the new ownership; so today was the day. it did not disappoint. had the loaded house chips to start and devoured them. delicious! our waitress suggested one of the specials was the Perch Dinner which came with fries, hushpuppies and cole slaw...i took that and was thoroughly satisfied. my brother had read about The Blue Moon Donut Burger and he went with that...it was quite big, tasty with the glazed donut on the underside and the top part a delicious bun. he got tater tots also. the drinks (unsweetened ice tea and strawberry lemonade were served in canning jars and were excellent....overall, we are happy we stopped by to try out another excellent place to eat down in Holmes County...all bikers, do yourself a favor and give it a shot.“

“My fiance and I stopped in for lunch, and we live a good hour away and we're very happy with the food and service. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcomed right when you walk in. We paid about 50$ for 3 egg rolls with 2 baskets and we left full and happy. The pork and brisket were cooked perfectly, we'll definitely be stopping back in when we're in the area! Definitely give this place a try, it's absolutely lovely!“

“Had 2 delicious meals there this last weekend: Friday was the absolutely BEST Pasta Primavera and Saturday was the absolute BEST black bean burger! Clint was awesome and entertaining, the atmosphere was fabulous and I HIGHLY recommend The Cider Press for lunch or dinner!“

I wanted a Mai Tai. They don't have that but fixed me something similar that was really good. “Nice little restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. We decided to stop on whim and try a new place. Once we stepped in, you can see that they embrace their namesake. They have hard hats lined above the bar, and it's cool to see all of the different companies represented on them. It is seat yourself, first come first served. There was a bit of a wait for our food, but not off putting. The place was full the whole time, so it was understandable and they did a good job. The serving sizes were good, and the pancakes were huge. They are plate sized and thick, so order wisely lol. Everything tasted great and the staff was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning and suggest checking them out when in the area.“

“Once again, we made another stop at Broken Rocks. This has become our #1 place for food and as always, never leaves us disappointed. The staff were friendly and our waitress made sure we enjoyed our meal and wasn't overbearing in checking on us. Even the staff who didn't wait on us were nice and polite and spoke to us as we were walking out. Environment is very relaxing and has a "go with the flow" feel. We were able to enjoy our conversation without feeling like we were shouting at each other. And these photos don't even do the food justice. Everything was AMAZING and we will be back again!“

“I have dined here a handful of times over the years and can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is very unique while being authentic and enjoyable. The service there is one of the main reasons I continue to go there.“

“Best onion rings around. I'm having to change my review based on my experience under the new management. The food is okay, presentation is lacking. We had to ask for napkins as they are not provided. Also ordered the deep dish caramel apple pie and was very disappointed. Very little flavor and the crust! I had to use my knife to cut bites to eat - it was thick and tough. Also, now the prices have gone up dramatically. $30 for 2 sandwiches, onion rings, slaw and pie (not counting the tip). And, add $2 if you want to pay with a card. I doubt we'll go back.“

“We ate at the tavern. The food was awesome here! Portions are good. I couldn't finish my fish n chips, but we also had the fried pickles for an appetizer(which were delicious)! There were still plenty of tables open when we arrived, but our server just sucked. The tables with servers around us seemed to be getting great service.“

“Mother's Day Brunch was a very pleasant experience. Delicious food, prompt courteous attentive service. We were seated near the kitchen and it was such a please to watch the choreographed interaction within the kitchen, the chef was very much in charge, very verbal and there was also non verbal communication amongst the staff. You could tell they had worked together for a while. I could not express how enjoyable the meal and experience was. You can see than the owners put an emphasis on training and the staff enjoyed working there.“

“Although it was busy, we were still seated very quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food. The banana bread was delicious, and so was the cranberry salad. I almost ran out of dressing though and the BLT I ordered was a little crispy.Still, our server was very friendly and understanding with the changes I made to my order.“

“As a teen in the '70s I loved when we would get subs from Hero House. I didn't think it would live up to my memory, but it did all these years (umm... decades) later. The rest in our party thought i was exaggerating, but they agreed that the subs were great! ordered pick up, so can't comment on atmosphere really. I can agree with some comments that wait staff can be gruff. But, the food far outweighs that downside.“

“We were able to make a reservation on Open Table about 45 min ahead of time and were seated right away when we got there. I ordered the espresso martini. Delicious, however it had a dollop of whip cream on top (appearances?) if trying to give the allure of creamy, I'd rather have a splash of heavy cream. We ordered the pickle fries as an appetizer, which came with type of hot sauce. I like heat but it came right away and lingered. I'd prefer something like a signature chipotle aioli. We got the delicious taco salads. Loved the shell and all the fresh ingredients. We would have liked there to be a little Spanish rice and, guac and black beans included.“
