Been passing this 30+ year old business place for over two years since I moved to the area and I always drive past it before I see it and I just continue to Strongsville and don't turn around and I never see it on the way back. Well this time it was a no no Nanette moment...I'm turning around. went up street turned around came to it a pretty decent sized parking lot with the candy etc factory behind. Entered a store front that had voluminous amts of popcorn, 40 flavors of hard packed ice cream, 50,000 pieces of different candies both old and new in chocolates, nuts, crème's, caramels and 1950s like choices. I kept walking and came upon two ginormous dining areas. One had maybe 3-4 tables and other one had 10 all seated for four or five people. Both had sports bar size tvs- mine played country videos. This is primarily a candy-popcorn- ice cream parlor but what a place to try some lunch or dinner. They have the usual the burgers, double burgers, hotdogs, fries and so on and they have a theme every day like today was taco Tuesday. Friday there's a fish fry with a huge selection of fish options. And there were three hidden away dinner-like options cabbage rolls, paprikash and I forget the third one. They start you off with a decent sized banana shaped plastic filled with their popcorn---that's a huge sample!!! Their drink selections had to be 10+--Various teas, sodas, regular and diet. The choices in this "not a restaurant" place is as good as some of the places we normally patronize. I ordered the paprikash which came with a side salad ( choice of ten dressings) much bigger than side salad as you and I know it. The paprikash was so hot and steaming I couldn't eat it for almost 10 minutes it was that well served. The bowl was mostly dumplings and chicken with a highly paprika seasoned sauce which was extremely filling, couldn't finish. I was treated like it was a four-star restaurant ---they checked on me at least five times (do you need anything else, how was your lunch, how's everything taste, is there anything else you need, spoon for your meal, can we get you some dessert). So if you think this is only candy popcorn and ice cream don't be sadly mistaken and skip out on a better than average experience. Only thing they're missing is a factory tour similar to Malleys. Been there and this place beats them hands down for choices and variety!!!!!

Disappointing

Not a good experience. Husband and I went thought we’d try the Lake Erie Perch dinner, they were out of fish! What, this was at 4:30 and Friday. Ordered cabbage rolls, husband ordered Chicken Paprika’s. I cannot even explain how disappointing these dishes were. Will not return for any meals. Good Luck Only for Easter Candy.Im only giving 1 star that goes to our young waitress, very friendly good customer service.

The customer service was great, the owner is very nice, the food supepurb, the treats gotta come back for more. I have come back over and over, cause it is the friendly service with different locations kind of servers and food that is always a top notch place. I have been around the world and they are constantly awesome. Inside during winter months and summer with car shows as well. They could probably have some tastings quarterly at 8-11 pm. If you wanted to have a children's party, there is a newly remodeled room. The chairs and tables in the other area are new as well. Keep up the good work to the staff and Thank you. P.S. Pardon my grammar in the write up.

The cashew brittle was the best that I ever had. Buttery and delicious. Fresh like they just made it. Burgers were good too!

They were out of most things on the menu, including the advertised chicken paprikash and stuffed cabbage. The wait staff was friendly and the treats are tasty. Prices are good, they have some good deals. Food definitely has a homemade taste.

Great service and food. A nice place to stop for a quick bite and some candy to take home.

Like the Olympia company and their selection of items and food- however most of their arcade machines need to be fixed and also some of the renovations for different sections really made the place worse than would actually help it. The last time I was in- the patrons coming in to the business was a lot less and the sad thing is that- a long time ago- this business would be packed- and it doesn't turn out a half full establishment.

My family and I have been coming to Olympia for years. The ice cream is delicious and the customer service is above and beyond. Apart from the great ice cream and service, they also have a section inside the store for candy. This is an added bonus and a personal favorite for the kids. I highly recommend. We look forward to returning again.

This is a great Ice Cream, Candy and Grill. They even have wonderful dinner entrees if you like with cabbage rolls with noodles, hamburger meals, among others. They even have a selection of homemade soups and dinner wines. This is a great family oriented place and it's sure to please every member of your family. Go in and enjoy this wonderful family place!
