Definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Toledo. They have a good sized bar and a good amount of tables. The service is good and the waitress are friendly. Great burger and grilled chicken sandwich They have to remember that they are a restaurant so please keep the music below 75 decibels.

Visited at lunch. The food was amazing, however we waiting nearly 15 minutes to get our order taken and another 40 for our food. I'm a downtown area where most people are coming on their lunch break and need to get back to work that's just unacceptable.The burger was one of the best around though.

This was the worst service my family and I have ever received. Our server Kristen G was inattentive, clueless and lacked any training on hospitality. Not only did we receive slow service, but so did the other tables surrounding us. We were a table of three people and she had two other tables of two people each. They were not busy at all even though it was a Sunday during brunch, yet the waitress took 15 minutes to get to us, and 25 minutes for us to receive our drinks. (all of our drinks were nearly room temperature by the time she brought them to us) Although we ordered drinks and food at the same time, it still took an additional 25 minutes for us to receive our meals. The waitress did not care enough to ask our preference for the sides that accompany the breakfast sandwich and assumed we wanted fries, but she never came back for us to clarify that we wanted breakfast potatoes. After receiving our meals she ignored us for 20 minutes and only came back to offer the checks and then again (surprise) she ignored us and wouldn’t come back to grab the payment. I am not sure if she just wasn’t trained properly or if she lacks basic understanding of the service industry. I really hope the upper management of this business invests more time and resources into making sure their staff is equipped with the correct training and skills to provide a (at least) decent quality of service. I sincerely hope the best for your business in the coming future but we will not be returning.

The antiques and vibe in the restaurant is very cozy “night life” friendly! Our waitress was so sweet and kind and did a great job. We were sad about our food. I ordered the salmon, medium, with crispy smashed potatoes. I got salmon, well-done, and multiple small baked potatoes- no crispy smash. Everything was hardly seasoned and made it a bland experience. My husband ordered their hannon block burger, medium. He also got a well done patty and felt it was “just okay”. His fries were yummy though! We ordered their cookie for dessert which was very thin and hard. It was difficult to eat. If they want to keep the wafer-like cookie, maybe they could serve it with some ice cream to help soften it? I know they are just starting out so maybe we will try again in a few months to see if they’ve made progress.
Waitstaff is clueless! Received bill for 9 lemon drops and didn’t order one!!

When I like a place, I make it a habit to return a few times at different times of the day before I leave a review. I must say, HB is extremely consistent in the quality of their food and service. I absolutely love the atmosphere as a lover of old architecture, but the staff and food just really put the cherry on top. This place is such a gem!
