The cook has been with IDEAL 27 YEARS Toledo go get yourself a Burger!!!!!It's not on this list ..but I ordered a simple cheese burger ....It was well made and so tasty!!!! $4.95I've paid over 18 dollars for a burger at Red robins and this place was miles above their radar ....I ate the first one ...had to have another to go ...added an egg ?...and man it was heaven in 7 bites!!!!

This is a time capsule of industrial Americana. Located just down the street from a major General Motors plant, Ideal is a quick lunch or pre-shift perfect for the American worker. Quick, simple, yet still brought to the table by a waitress.The hot dog sauce is distinctly Toledo. Unlike the gloppy mess of Detroit Coney sauce, the sauce at Ideal is more meaty and nearly dry, more like a taco meat.The hot dogs are on the smaller side, which makes for a more balanced hot dog. Each bite is a perfect bite.

What a great place....a hidden gem. Great food and service. 1st time here and my wife and I were treated like regulars. We really enjoyed our meals. We had the coney dogs chili mac and French fries. Such a great place. We will be back soon.
First time eating here. Food was awesome. Reminds me of old-school diner. Staff is great. We enjoyed the food and company very much. Can't wait to go back to for breakfast.
