After living in Japan for 6 years, trust me when I say Chef and his team has it done right. I had the "Omakase" (aka tasting menu). The tasting was 2 hours long in duration, the food tasted great, the designed dishes (food) was very creative, plating was beautiful and service was awesome too. Worth every dollar of the $125 pricing. I left on a full stomach and hope to go again before leaving Toledo. I highly recommend it. Please enjoy.

My wife and I did the $125 each omakase experience and were absolutely blown away by how amazing it was! We both are originally from west coast states and have had great sushi in many states around the country, but we both agreed this literally was the best sushi we have ever had! Who would have thought that it would be in Toledo, OH! We drove down from Detroit just for this and it was totally worth it for a special meal!The staff were very friendly and the sushi chefs were right in front of us the whole time, describing the dishes and answering questions. Chef Kengo seemed to have many regulars that he would say hello to too.One thing to note, this isn’t a “fancy” restaurant, it is pretty casual inside. I’d much rather pay for quality food though than a fancy restaurant interior.Parking: There are paid meter street parking spots on the restaurant’s block, but the next block over (away from the baseball stadium), street parking is free.

Had such a great time here. Tried almost everything on the menu. Loved the succulent meats and the succulent okra. Go early, some things run out quickly! Really the best sushi in yakitori in the area. Kato Ramen is great too, highly recommended!Update: still delicious and great experience! I've started to notice that the general customer base is super cool, friendly too. We had to wait out side and Kato brought us tea himself to keep us warm. It's really one of the beat things Toledo has to offer.

I can't describe this place any better than "my wife hates fish/seafood/sushi, and this is her absolute favorite restaurant." Everything they do, they do to perfection. It's a small, tight, intimate, and perfect place. You experience everything with those around you. Toledo is LUCKY to have a place like this here!
