We ordered a deep dish pizza and a thin crust pizza. When our food was brought out, they said the cook made the deep dish pizza a thin crust. The waitress apologized and said we could keep it for half price, or they could make the deep dish, but it would be about 40 minutes. We said we'd just keep it. The deep dish was the whole reason my husband wanted to try this place, but we were with a big group and didn't want to wait another 40 minutes.None of the pizzas were very good. It was like eating pizza toppings on a saltine cracker. The service was great, and our waitress did keep apologizing, and on top of the discount, gave us 2 free deep dish chocolate chip cookies (which weren't very good, either).

I have been a fan of PizzaPapalis for many years, but it has been consistently declining. Im not sure if it was because of the time of day that we came, but it was almost empty and the place was filthy. Floors were gross, there was paper everywhere, and food indee the seats, we were sat at a table that had pizza sauce all over and the seats had something sticky. I grabbed a towel off of the other table & wiped down the table and booth myself. We were given dirty menus, dirty utensils, and dirty plates. Washed them all with the water they gave us. The place smelled of rotten egg and it was overwhelming. The plates and cups smelled like vinegar and eggs. The pizza was subpar and the wings were under cooked. Everything is also overpriced now. $20 for 12 wing dings. Nobody wore hair nets or gloves. The waitress handled cash and food, and did not sanitize her hands in between. She wiped her hands on her jeans. She was nice & attentive though. This was by far the worst experience I have had since they opened. I do not plan on visiting again anytime soon. Hopefully this was just a rare occurrence.

March 26th, 11 AM. Service was not good. Waitress was rude and aloof. One example, she would not take dirty plates from our appetizers, but she seemed to be doing so for the other couple of parties around us...wasn't busy, we went in right at open! She spoke to us four times: drinks, orders, pizza, check. She finally took our dirty plates after they sat in front of us for twenty-five minutes. And she wasn't even there to grab the plates, she was there to give us the pizza! I guess she wanted to do both in one trip. We went in to celebrate, but it was rather a disappointment. The only other worker in the back (male, older, had a beard and hat) was real nice though. He has my appreciation and gratitude. The food wasn't like I remembered. I wish this place (and the man in the back) success with its future patrons.

Definitely the place to go to when you're looking for good quality tavern-style pizza. We came here during the weekend during rush hours and were still seated quickly. Customer service is both fast and friendly. The pizza was also delicious, it did take a minute to come out to us, but that's what you should expect when dining at restaurants like these. Pizza was fresh, the ingredients and toppings were soft and hot, and the cheese was to die for. 10/10. Definitely a place to bring the family when you're looking for something a bit different that feeds a lot of people. One large pizza could easily fill 3 people with how thick and filling each slice is. If you haven't been here before, definitely stop by when you have some extra cash on hand! Your price range will start around $35 and shoot up to $100 fast depending on how many guests you bring, so keep that in mind.HOWEVER: Parking will be your biggest hurdle when you get here, spin around the block if you don't find a spot right away. Parking is street-side and has automated meters that you scan a QR code for and pay through your phone. If you can't find any street parking, try the parking garage across the street, though you may have to pay more.Vegetarian options: Ask your wait staff, but most of the menu is vegan friendly besides those that include meat.Dietary restrictions: I would not advise those with dietary restrictions eat from here as this establishment caters more heavy dairy, sauce, and grease. And much of the food is likely to be cooked with it, or around it. Use caution if you are on restrictions and would like to eat here.Parking: Parking is bad here, you will have to fight to get a spot, unless you're lucky enough to find one open like I did. If you can't find a spot, drive around the block. Otherwise, try the parking garage across the street, though you may have to pay more to use it.Kid-friendliness: Kid/Family Friendly atmosphere and restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: This location is wheelchair accessible.

One of the best pizzas I have ever had! Absolutely fantastic and worth the extra money. The only reason I rated it a 5 was because I couldn't give it a ten!
We got 2 calzones and the dough part was thin and hard and just compared to cardboard it was hard to cut through with a butter knife and just as hard texture to try to eat. The flavor of the dough was bland and just smelt like pure yeast. It's definitely a bad recipe or something. I won't return I wished I had just got a hot and ready over spending 60$ and still hungry. We also was sat on the bar side tords the back where the side windows open and I wished it was cause it smelt like rotten eggs and had nats flying around. The waiter was nice that's about all I can say to make it 1star worthy.

Food and service was great but the old wooden chairs are rickety and need to be replaced before I would dine there again.

Food was good. Prices were reasonable. Service was very accommodating and helpful. Small side salad was very large. 6" deep dish was very filling for 1 person.
