Eating at Rudy's is a childhood memory I'll never forget. Every year we would drive to Toledo to visit family and see the Light Before Christmas at the zoo. We'd always end the evening with a trip to Rudy's. It's been about 15 years since I've eaten there but today it was just as good as I remember. The atmosphere is like taking a trip back in time. Everyone was friendly and very helpful despite it being obvious we didn't know how to move through the ordering process. You grab your tray and utensils at the door then your items are handed to you as you move through the line. The prices were still very reasonable and the food was just as delicious as I remember. I highly recommend staying classic and getting a chili cheese dog with everything and fries. My fiance ordered a cup of chili as well and loved the unique flavor. Their menu has expanded too with greek food, chicken and including all day breakfast. Pie slices on display in a dessert cooler seems to still be a staple. Although the wait is very short, there is a drive through if you don't want to dine in. Highly recommend.Photo is their serving tray. They don't actually sell them, but we bought it for $20. It means a lot to us.
