Very Very good food! Kid friendly, very nice staff! Fast service, great servers, owners & great chefs! Give this place a firm 20/10. I would recommend for any time youre in the mood for breakfast or lunch! The Dine-In experience me and my small family received was truly amazing.

Perfect small diner for a nice breakfast or early lunch. Waitress was very sweet and the food was far better than I expected. Very large portions and decent price.Much better than large chain restaurants!

Standard, unremarkable Toledo breakfast fare: seemingly lots of options, but, as elsewhere, if you take a closer look, it's just 50 variants on basically the same thing: eggs, sausage, and bacon. No vegan options, no tofu dishes, no organic options. I know this is Toledo, but it's also 2024. That said, the place was very clean, and the service (Heather) was very good. So was the veggie skillet. I'd go back, and am glad to see that Sunrise Skillet and Jo Jo's are resuscitating what for 35+ years were rat-trap storefronts.

Good food in a good place with good people! Had breakfast on UToledo's Homecoming weekend with a group of fellow alums from both in and out of town. Sunrise is close to the UToledo campus and for those of us of a certain generation, is located in the legacy location of the old Stein and Pitcher campus bar. Food was basic but good, served quickly and efficiently and with lots of smiles and personality! The space was warm and inviting and open and well lit. The restaurant was reasonably busy, but filled primarily with locals & regulars. Definitely will be back when near campus!

Great neighborhood breakfast/brunch spot! Stopped in yesterday for a late breakfast and was not disappointed. I had to country fried steak, eggs, rye, toast, and perfectly cooked Hashbrowns. The hubs got a breakfast burrito. The portions are huge! We could've easily shared a breakfast. The service was fast it's very clean and it just has a nice neighborhood feel.

As regulars of the different establishments that have occupied Sunrise Skillet's Bancroft location over the years, we've been meaning to visit for quite a while. And to be honest, I'm not sure we'll be back.As Rebecca B mentions, the service is hilariously bad. While the kitchen pumps out the food, the floor is barely monitored and patrons are left sitting with empty cups or even waiting to be seated or put in orders for WAY too long. It's clear the regulars don't mind, likely due to the hearty portions, but for us, the food really was a miss. Not bad mind you, just... odd? The English Muffin for example was huge, dense and basically the opposite of what you'd expect. Nothing light and flaky, no nooks and crannies as much as just the densest possible texture. And things like no fresh or unflavored cream for the coffee felt like corners were being cut. Combined with a drab atmosphere, I just do not get the appeal. It's awesome to see this weird little strip mall thriving with the different locally owned businesses, and we're glad to see this restaurant seems to be doing well. It's just not the right fit for our expectations.
