Delicious! I loved my salad!! I miss the days of "salad bars"...and this fits in the bill!! Plus it's fresh and organic! The chocolate chip peanut butter protein balls were the perfect amount of sweet treat too. I've tried several flavors of their gelatos too...loved them all! Flavorful and creamy!

Oh my gosh this place is ahhhmazing. Located in The Oliver House (where Maumee Bay Brewing Co is). Super healthy food served by super friendly staff. Portions are huge. Prices are small. Salads, quinoa bowls, smoothies, oatmeal bowls,& fresh pressed juices-all made while you watch & build your order. Next up is soup. So much already and they are new! And oh the coffee based beverages are great. They don't charge xtra for specialty milks either. You can also make your own trail mix by the pound. Highly recommend.

Really great prices for delicious healthy food options! Super welcoming staff as well as a great environment. They have a whole back room for people to fine in or even for students to study. Everyone was really friendly and honestly I can’t say enough great things about this place except that I wish I would’ve discovered it sooner! So delicious! Highly recommend!!

Charming little cafe that just opened in the Oliver House. Perfect spot to visit before or after the Farmers Market on Saturday morning. Make your own salad or granola. Coffee, fresh pressed juice, smoothies. We had a latte and some blueberry muffin protein balls. Perfect snack. The owner said she may also be putting in a gelato area in the future. We will definitely be back - especially for a drink and snack before or after a morning walk at Middlegrounds Metropark.

I can’t express how amazing this place is. Great food. Great staff. Very welcoming vibes. Environmentally friendly. The owners are listening to customers’ suggestions and are adding things here and there. I can’t stop talking about this place. Healthy and delicious choices for a great price. Everything is fresh and made to order with the exception of a few items (granola bites, overnight oats, items of the like). Highly recommend to everyone.

Enjoyed a very delicious smoothie with REAL FRUIT!! Early hours for those wanting to get a smoothie and salad before work! Located in The Oliver House on the river side next to Rockwell's.

Just what Toledo needed! The salads are made to order, with the ingredients fresh cut right in front of you. The smoothies and juices are prepared in the same manner. I've been there a few times now and have gotten salads, juices, smoothies, and coffee. All of them were delicious! The prices are super low and they load you up with toppings! The large salad is $9 and the small is $6, both of which are cheaper than other competitors in the area. The smoothies and juices are $6, which is the cheapest I've ever seen them sold that. I love the idea of the trail mix bar; something I've never seen before. Most importantly, the staff is super friendly and gives a cute "Have the best day ever" after you receive your order.I'll definitely be making this place one of my usuals.

Fabulous food and a very friendly atmosphere! The owner was exceptionally personable! The food and juice was very filling. It’s wonderful to have a place to go where you know it has healthy ingredients!

I am going to recommend you give this spot a few weeks before you swing by to check it out. We were excited to try some new salad options in Downtown Toledo and left feeling a little stressed and disappointed.Pros: the fresh juice! I tried "the green machine" and it was absolutely fresh as can be, tasty and didn't take too long to make. The prices are pretty reasonable for Downtown Toledo. The juice is made to order and $6 apiece, while the salads also made to order are $6 for a small and $9 for a large, the large being a much better deal. This is quite a bit cheaper than their main competition, Grumpy's just down the street, that charges a bit more per salad and doesn't provide nearly the topping variety or quantity the Salad Bar is offering. Cons: WAY too small of a prep area which doubles as their front service area. Think Subway in approach where you pick your items as they build it for you, only the small area for building a salad is shared by 3 people, and it's also where prep is constantly happening as they run out of common ingredients like chopped lettuce. The ingredients they offered were certainly fresh, but it came across that basically nothing is homemade outside of the chopping of vegetables. The eggs came from pre-hardboiled plastic packaging and the bacon crumbles came out of a bag you could buy at the grocery store. The woman who made my salad and rang me and my wife up was technically wearing a mask on her face but she wasn't covering her nose at all, rendering it pointless and completely off-putting.I'll be back in a few months to see what it's like when they have their systems down. Currently, everyone is a bit on high alert and a lot of apologies are thrown around as the staff let everyone know they just opened this week. I'm excited to have a healthy option like this for lunch and hope they are able to figure out the prep issues because, for the size of this place, it would be an absolute nightmare if there was a line or any crowds.

We first visited in 2018. We loved the ambiance and the food was nothing short of amazing, and our waitress was wonderful! We revisited in late summer 2019 and found everything to be the same. Now in February 2020 it's sad to know The Cafe is closed and plans are not to reopen; this information was not publicized on their website. We went upstairs to the Maumee Brewing Co. where we found the menu from The Cafe was being used and that our favorite waitress was still working, but was clearly not the same person we'd seen during our last visit. While the food is still fabulous, it was sad to learn that along with The Cafe there had been other eateries in the building that had closed and would not be reopening. It boggles the mind why anyone would make these kinds of decisions, but certainly they must have been driven by the all mighty dollar.
