“An absolute delight of a cafe. To start off, the ambiance and layout of the cafe was amazing. It was very cute and aesthetic with comfy couches, live plants, and a refreshing atmosphere. They also had the cat room sectioned off from the cafe, which allows for food safety and no risk of contamination on their drinks. The staff was incredibly friendly and forthcoming with the rules and guild lines for the cat room. I also adored their coffee. I ordered a dirty chai latte, half expecting the Starbucks chai syrup that every cafe seems to put into their chai lattes. Surprisingly though, their chai latte was delicious and clearly made with a legitimate chai leaf blend. And although I didn't order one, I appreciated that they had gluten free and vegan snack options, it was unexpected but very welcome. Now moving onto the cat room. It was an incredibly spacious room with many nooks and play areas for the kitties to spread out. The cats were very friendly and social which was a nice surprise. It was a very quiet room, and it didn't smell at all of litter the way many cat cafes did. All in all, I really enjoyed this location 10/10“

“A quaint little British-themed cafe in Oakwood with friendly service and a casual, relaxing ambiance. They only accept cash, check, and Venmo. My husband and I ordered the afternoon tea for 2 which included scones, eclairs, an almond based cake, a lemon curd tart, and assorted finger sandwiches. We chose English Breakfast tea among a large assortment of teas offered. The desserts were fantastic and lightly sweet (which we enjoyed!), the finger sandwiches were a little bland and dry. Overall, we loved supporting a small, family owned business and we would return if we are in the area again!“

“Stopped in on a weekend morning while traveling through Dayton and was greeted by a warm and friendly worker. She was very kind to my 3 year old son who was in tow helping with the donut selection. We got an apple fritter (my favorite), a Boston Cream (my wife's favorite), a blueberry cake donut, a chocolate sprinkle donut and a glazed vanilla donut. The donuts tasted great, seemed to be nice a fresh, and the price was reasonable. Glad to have stopped in and to know about this place for when we're back in the area.“

“I genuinely appreciate Ghostlight's vegan offerings. Even though Dayton is the sixth most populous city and the state's fourth-largest metropolitan area, the vegan selections in Dayton are pretty slim, so having a coffee house that has great treats and drinks that a vegan can imbibe is very much appreciated.“

“I went there for coffee and spent $9 dollars on a drink which was fine. But when I was sitting they made me get up saying that table is only reserved for 2 or more people. The place was empty so it’s not like I was taking up space. It was very embarrassing to say the least. I will not be going back. Customer was lacking !“

“Ordered 12oz hot Van. Latte, 12oz hot Mocha, The Farmer w/ham, The Lunch bagel w/ham. Not my typical coffee flavor profile, but it was delicious. We could clearly taste the fruity notes. They were out of bagels, but the sandwhiches on English muffins were tastey. Quick friendly service. Was hoping for a bigger baked goods selection .. wanted that basic choc. Chip cookie ?. Will deff. be back! This was Midtown location & had easy access for parking.“

“My husband and I were dropping our niece off in New Lebanon. We had some time to kill and decided to go for some coffee. I just happened to find this place via Google. This place may not look like much from the outside but looks can be deceiving.We were pleased to be greeted by some wonderful staff. Also, the fact that they share scriptures not only on the accent wall but in a little basket for your taking. We have a coffee shop in our town that also is a Christian based coffee shop that we love. One thing our coffee shop at home could learn from Hip-Stirs is the personalization of scriptures on index cards available to take. We would recommend and will be returning at some point.“

“I love my little Starbucks here! This location is awesome and all of the staff are like family. So friendly and genuinely nice people! Service is wonderful but you have to remember, there is no drive thru at this location so be prepared and mindful when ordering your drink. They get a ton of mobile orders here! They are busy but try really hard not to make people wait too long!“
