“Love this place! I come here often. The ice cream is delicious, home made, hand packed (or soft serve) in flavors and combinations no one else has. They even sell ice cream pies! Friendly staff- super friendly staff. Some seating outside too. Great potion sizes too! I especially recommend the cyclone, if you want to try something unique! Super cute decor inside and out. Just charming, and SO delicious!”

“When you walk in, you hear straight to the bar, place your order (drink and/or food), then you take wooden number, seat yourself wherever you want, and they bring you your food & drinks.I can’t say enough good things about this place!!! The two bartenders run the whole show… they’re friendly and knowledgeable- we felt like we’d been coming here our whole lives. Great food, live music, cozy & unique atmosphere! In an old elevator mill with loads of history.Clean, plenty of parking, ramps instead of stairs everywhere. There’s only two private bathrooms, sometimes have to wait to go in one.Parking: Easy entrance, gravel parking and plenty of it!Kid-friendliness: It’s the perfect balance of a cozy bar but very family friendly prior to about 9:30/10!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps leading into the restaurant and from one section to the next!”

“This is the best place in town to check out, the bar tender ASHLEY is the ?, me and my coworkers met her at a lil lunch spot, she invited us to her job and we pulled up later on that day and once we went in the folks in the building made our welcome feel like we all known one another for a long time..... “Great venue and good beers. Plenty of outdoor space to relax at, with multiple seating areas and firepits. Nice and cozy insde too. It is truly a kick back and relax atmosphere to get away from any hustle and bustle. Chatted with the owners and brewer, great guys who are passionate about what they do. They provide some munchies, and food trucks are occasionally there. Very kid friendly!”

“1st time visiting while in area happened to be for their Halloween party. Staff was super nice, friendly, and helpful. Can see why this place has many regulars. Wine is really good and they have something for everyone along with a variety of beers. Live music was great and not too loud. This is a really fun place. We'll definitely be back.”

“Made a lunch stop while enjoying a road trip around Ohio. Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger looked like it belonged in a TV commercial. The fries were hot and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Followed up the burger with a creamy cup of butter pecan ice cream. I do recommend Poppy's Barnyard if you are in the mood for a burger, fries, and ice cream!Kid-friendliness: There was an interactive feature for kids that played barnyard animal sounds.”

“I recently got a job inside Wakeman.... first time ordering. I wasn't feeling good. Ordered soup for my lunch break... drove up there (forgot my wallet at work) they let me take the soup... with JUST my word, that'd I'd come back the next day to pay. (And yes I went back and paid!)But I couldn't believe it... even as I was eating it... it didn't feel real. I'm so thankful! And yes the soup made me feel better”

Treat yourself and the family did some East of Chicago.Parking: A whole parking lot across the street with closer parking on the street on both front and side of building.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid activities throughout the year. “Everything I have had here so far has been wonderful. My favorite menu item is the basket burger. The perfectly grilled burger topped with the special sauce is so good! The friendly workers and owner make this the perfect addition to our small town.”

“Overall good experience. They serve their bread with cherry butter, which was amazing. I enjoyed the cocktails I got, and highly recommend their Bull shrimp as an appetizer, probably the best thing we had there. The steak was okay, cooked how I wanted, but my boyfriend and I both agreed our steaks tasted bland. As if there was no seasoning at all.”

“I Love their pizza and subs; just tried their burger and it was fabulous! Tuesdays the burgers are $11. You can also get hot pizza by the slice next door at Country Breeze, as well as whole pizzas you can cook at home. To digress, you can also get hot chicken tenders etc at Country Breeze.”

“Best establishment East of the Mississippi River. Took my wife here for our wedding anniversary. We shared some Busch beers over a few bags of salt n vinegar chips. I even gave her 3 dollars to put in the jukebox as an anniversary gift.”

“Enjoyed our visit here today for the Eclipse watch party. The entire Gammie family made everyone feel welcome. We got a nice big basket of apples on the picnic table we reserved. The weather cooperated and gave everyone some fantastic views of the eclipse. The tunes Brian Hager was churning out was great. The food and drinks were filling and enjoyable. Great venue to watch the eclipse.!”

“Good food cold. It took an hour and a half for delivery after they said 30 minutes. Slapped extra sauce on top because it sat for an hour in the sore and dried out. Didn't offer anything off for the inconvenience. Just list a good customer. Hope they treat customers better in the future.”

Hot and soft with beer cheese and honey mustard. I got the bacon egg and cheese burger and they were happy to add some Mayo-the egg drizzled right through the bun-a m a z I n g ! ! My sweet wife went for the chicken fajita wrap with tots and it was incredible!! Great price, food and atmosphere!! I normally don't leave reviews for good service but that young lady was so polite. I always come here and this time I wasn't disappointed by the staff.”
