Our 1st experience and not a bad one. Very clean atmosphere. Excellent service, very good homemade food. I had one of the Thursday specials, " The Ruben Sandwich, Fries and added a house salad, the sandwich was large and filled. The thousand island was on the side. Have i had better, honestly yes, but this Ruben was in the top 5. The lettuce salad arrived in a small plastic dish with 1 cucumber slice a 1 grape tomato, ( which I cut in two ) lol. Price: $3.50, ouch. My wife ordered chopped steak, med well w/ Fries and house salad. It arrived hot and still juicy. She stated: very good.The menu variety is good and reasonable prices, except the gold salad. Wayside offers many daily specials to choose from and a senior and kids menus.I might add, finish your experience with a piece of the chefs homemade cheesecake.I give it a rating of 4. When we're in the area again. Sure we will make plans to patronize again. Thanks all.

The food is decent here and the people friendly, but I've had a consistent experience of having food I've ordered missing when I open the takeout cartons. It's very frustrating giving an establishment money for free. Until they can fix whatever the problem is for takeout, I suggest you dine in here.

Attended a small gathering of about 40 people there to celebrate a 90th birthday party. Food was pretty good but the service was exceptional. They kept our coffee cups full and were very attentive to our other needs. Great local restaurant.

When I went here service was great. The food was great if you’re out of town out of Columbus somewhere, you should really try it.
Just had a lovely meal here at Wayside. The food is excellent, the prices reasonable, and the service top notch. Whether you are local or just passing through this is a great place to have a relaxing meal.Vegetarian options: We had the spaghetti. Even though it is served with a meatball the sauce is vegetarian and you can order it without the meatball.
