The gluten-free and dairy-free quinoa bread was amazing. Perfect for the chicken and biscuit sandwich with habanero honey, mustard and pickles. They also had the corned beef hash and eggs also delicious and the espresso drinks were very good, We had a latte and the Mexican jumping bean which is a spicy Mexican chocolate with espresso. It was Sunday brunch and busy but the food came out really fast, and the service was very personable and friendly.Dietary restrictions: The entire restaurant is gluten free and they also have dairy-free options

When you're gluten free you have to make concessions and baked goods are basically the biggest disappointment. This is no longer the case! The GF bread, biscuits, cookies and muffins of your dreams DO exist... at Cafe Avalaun!

Two thumbs up! We were traveling and came in close to the end of the business day. I was a little concerned we would be too late to get food other than what was in the bakery case, but staff was very nice. We got 2 kinds of crepes, a salad, and assorted baked goods. It was the best Caesar salad I've had! We didn't finish the sweet crepe b/c it wasn't our thing, but the savory one was great. We would def go again if we found ourselves in the area.

Cafe Avalaun is one of the best restaurants I have been to, and it just so happens to be 100% gluten free! The food and baked goods are incredible. The chocolate cake with buttercream frosting is phenomenal. I love when Cafe Avalaun does special event nights where you order ahead from a one night menu. The calzone night was amazing and the dough was incredible. The quality of the ingredients is always excellent. Cafe Avalaun is an absolute gem and they take all allergies very seriously, not just gluten. I cannot recommend it enough!

Food was fairly tasty but $17 for a very small panini is way over priced, I expected an upcharge for being gluten free and made from scratch etc but that was the price of JUST the panini, no sides and it was fairly

Perfect spot for great gluten-free comfort food. I had the chicken and waffles and my husband had the crepe of the day. Both were fantastic. As a celiac, this place satisfied all the cravings I had for typically unsafe foods for me. Thank you!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

I love this place. I love the vegan offerings, the vegan carrot bisque and the panini in particular. They pair well together but the soup can be very filling and comes with a small and spongey vegan bread roll that was somewhat uncooked today. I'm not sure if that was intentional but I enjoyed it for what it was.Two suggestions,1: Vegan Garlic fries. You make them so well, just need them to be vegan.2: The seating is too crowded to actually use the seating available. Maybe cut back a table or two. We'll keep coming back!Dietary restrictions: We come here specifically for the vegan offerings, and they're the best we've had in the area thus far. The vegan seed bread is absolutely amazing.Parking: Depending on the time, it could be completely empty or almost full. Today, it was just before 2pm that we arrived and we found it to be fairly full.

This is a small bakery and cafe but the flavors and composition are outstanding in the savory menu. We tried their vegan panini for breakfast and it’s delicious. The bread was good and it has a good texture. The seasonal cookie that we had was bland but overall this local place deserves the support of the locals. We will be back the next time we are in Cleveland. It has a good atmosphere and friendly staff.

This is a 100% dedicated gluten-free restaurant that also caters to other dietary needs such as dairy-free or nut free... The gluten-free chicken is the best I've ever had. Me and my wife love coming here. Whenever we're in the area. They always have fresh new ideas and great food. The atmosphere is small and quaint. The service is top notch. Everyone is friendly and more than willing to discuss any of your dietary needs. And they work with you to make sure that you get exactly what you want. I highly recommend visiting even if you're not gluten-free. You would be shocked at how good the food is. A lot of people have that perception that gluten-free tastes different, but I'm here to tell you you wouldn't know unless someone told you.

Our FAVORITE celiac-safe restaurant!!! We love going for brunch to celebrate family birthdays and events, and the calzone and fried chicken pop-ups feel almost like little holidays every year. 3 of us in the family have celiac, but even our gluten-eating family members and friends we have brought to Cafe Avalaun absolutely love to eat here! Cannot recommend enough Dietary restrictions: Everything is soy-free, and I believe peanut-free too. We do not require dairy-free, vegetarian, or vegan options, but I appreciate that they are there for people who do!
