Traveled out to West Jefferson today for some lunch. Decided to finally check out Ann & Tony's, been on my list for quite a while. Ordered the Italian Combo #2. It consists of Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan and Fettuccine Alfredo. It also came with a salad and bread. The Alfredo had a weird flavor to it, like it was really buttery taste to it. The Lasagna was really tasty with a nice tomato sauce on top, a good layer of cheese and a lot of meat layered in. There were a number of layers to it. On to the Star which was the Chicken Parmesan. It has a nice crispy exterior with a juicy chicken inside. Had a nice layer of cheese and sauce on it. Very flavorful. The salad was nothing special. Italian bread was nothing special either. I wanted to close this with a positive which was my waitress Brittany. She was on it from the beginning and timed out everything, Checked on me a number of times and made sure I was well taken care of.
We went for lunch. Menu was very basic. I had platter #2, Fettuccine Alfredo tasted the same as Fazolis, Chicken Parm was good, but the Lasagna wasnt good at all! My wife had platter #1 she said Spaghetti was bland, lasagna had no flavor and Chicken Parm was good. Ive heard from Many people how great this place is, was a let down! While the server was friendly, she didnt have any help which made service very slow, not her fault!Probably wont go back again, disappointed.
A nice venue with good service for a cheap family meal. The food was basic American-Italian fair with a limited menu. Nothing much more than what could easily be made at home and a little lack-luster in flavor. They also automatically add a charge for using credit card AND the tip %age was on the total with tax and the card charge, not on the meal cost which is incorrect and poor practice IMO.
We heard how great this place was, so we gave it a try. We all found the food to be bland. My daughter had the fettuccine Alfredo, I had the #1 combo, and my husband had the #2 combo. The server was alone and busy but did as well as she possibly could. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.
Have been here several times, most recent visit we had our work Christmas Party. Food is always phenomenal service was a little slow but the place was packed. The atmosphere is always nice laid back cozy, great date night
