This has been my favorite restaurant for years. I always celebrate birthdays and special days with my family here. My daughter and son-in-law took me for my birthday yesterday and it was very disappointing. The meat was all overcooked, well done. The food at the buffet did not taste right.. the beans and potatoes tasted burnt. Three different meat servers accidentally flung meat onto my clothes, leaving several stains on my shirt and pants. Then to top it off, I was told they no longer give a complimentary dessert on your birthday. I was not compensated for my ruined shirt.

I had my first Brazilian steakhouse experience at Texas de Brazil in Westlake a couple of weekends ago and had a wonderful time.It is located in the Crocker Park area with plenty of walkable shopping and well lit parking nearby.I dined with 3 friends with different tastes and we were all satisfied with the food variety. The salad bar (which involved a lot more than salad) was plentiful and fresh with a large selection of salad options, with an addition of rice, beans, mushrooms in gravy, smoked salmon, and charcuterie selections. Gluten-free cheese bread was served at the table along with several side dishes (mashed potatoes, fries, and a type of sweet fried bananas). The table-side served meat selection had a good variety as well, which included multiple beef cuts (ribs, flank steak, top sirloin, filet mignon), bacon wrapped chicken and pork, and leg of lamb. While I only enjoyed several types of lemonade when I was there, they had a delicious sounding sangria and appeared to have a large wine selection as well. Our waitress Eve, was very attentive and helpful the entire evening. The manager stopped by our table to check-in and remained active in the dining room throughout the night, which was nice to see.The entire restaurant was clean despite the large amount of people that evening. Everywhere remained orderly and the bathroom was clean when I went in.Overall it was a great and unique experience that I recommend, particularly to meat lovers.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options. Wait staff and chef on hand for allergen concerns/questions.Parking: Two close parking garages as well as metered parking nearby. First 30 minutes free in garages.Kid-friendliness: The majority of the seating is tighter, so not ideal for infants with bulky car seat carriers. The large food variety should be pleasing to younger palates.

Both times I was at this restaurant, 3 months apart, I was diarrhea immediately the same night at both times. I got the sane order, buffet, but the pricing was inconsistent. The meat was not offered after a certain period of time, nobody brought food, nobody asked anything. What else can I add?

The food and service was horrible. We had to wait quite a while before the meat came around. Some we didn't get to try because it didn't get around. And the service was really bad. Worst of all the guy spilled grease down my back. Like I had to ask for ice 3 or 4 times. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALLI would not recommend it.

I went for the first time for my mothers birthday. I called to book on a busy day and a wonderful worker name Fatima was able to make the accommodations for us to have an amazing celebration. Our server was well versed and knowledgeable and the food was beyond fulfilling. Thank you for to the staff in Westlake for letting us enjoy our night and create a positive memory.

I never take the time to leave reviews but I have never genuinely felt like I didn’t want to pay for a meal until today. The service was good, our server was very kind. The issue is the food. The meat is so bland. Every piece we got was so chewy & fatty we could barley eat it. The salad bar is the only decent food in this restaurant. We tried to stick it out & wait for something good to come around but it took at least 10 minutes between each meat so we eventually gave up & left. $170 & we had to stop for food on the way home because we didn’t even eat. Do yourself a favor & do not eat here.

The staff was fine, and the plane looked nice. I understand that this food is certainly best enjoyed at the restaurant, but I have never had such awful carryout. Seriously. The ribs were so overcooked and dry that they were inedible, despite my persistence. Imagine beef Jerky that had been left out for weeks and then cooked. The chicken and pork were also amazingly dry but consumable for those with adult teeth. For a place that specializes in meat, I am mystified. The sides were about the only redeeming element, and they were just o.k.

The food is exquisite, the decorations are very tasteful and service is top tier. Management even comes to check that each table is satisfied. Great place to visit for any occasion.

Service was generally lax and not up to standard. We were a party of 8 friends gathering after not seeing each other for some time. Several guests drove over 2 hours to be present, and another flew in from out of town. I went out of my way to purchase gift cards and place all meals on one check that I could transact and handle easily. So I collected all the payment from each person for dinner, a soda, tax and gratuity. Then, anyone having alcohol would receive a separate check. Ultimately, a single person picked up all the alcohol on one check. We were at the large wooden table in the kitchen corner. The 4 top with a mom, dad, and child were too close to us. Every time a carver came round, they had to carefully navigate between our tables, too close for either table. Eventually, when the smaller table left, I pushed the table two feet away from us, which appeared to place it back in its desired position. The server did not practice good eye contact passing through her tables, which could have allowed her to actively read the cues of the table better. The clearing of plates and refilling of beverages was just OK, not good. It was difficult to get well done anything, so I requested at one point the server to see what they could do for three of the guests myself included. This may have stepped up but only marginally. There was a discussion of the dessert tray coming back in 10 min, which the server should have brought before we hit the end of eating as the chances of buying dessert would have increased. After 20 minutes and no dessert tray, I requested my check. I was surprised that I never saw either of the two managers touching tables, ours, or others. Maybe this is no longer the custom of restaurants in 2024. In closing, I believe the server tried and did just OK. I do not think they had the deeper training to do a great job and create the lasting deep experiences that you should be known for.
