I dined here for the first time last week. A piece of chewed gum, thumb pressed to the plate, came out on one of my family member’s salad plate. When we notified staff they held back laughter and took the plate away. The waitress came back and said she was “sorry that is disgusting and that she bets on it being the dish washer” - indicating that this was not only not new behavior, but apparently acceptable behavior at this establishment. We got no visit or apology from the manager and absolutely nothing was comped off of our bill- not even our salads - we paid full price. At the very least a discount on our bill would have been appropriate. Needless to say we will not be returning nor would I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Nice Italian restaurant in downtown Willoughby specializing in wood fired dishes. Decent sizes restaurant with some outdoor space as well. Was pretty booked on Saturday when we went so recommend making reservations. All out food was delicious. The burrata on wood fired bread was delicious and the special pasta stuffed with black truffle and ricotta was also great. Service was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back again.

Pranzo is one of my favorite East side restaurants to dine. The food is always on point and the service has been consistent. It can be quite loud in the restaurant and makes it hard to have normal voice level conversations but it is still a plesant atmosphere. Only having single bathrooms for male and female can also be problematic when eating with children.

Me and my wife have been coming here for 9 years now and never disappoint! From the perfect hidden patio in the summer to walking in the front door welcomed by the smell of a real fire in the dining room to the food that is alway perfect. We have never been disappointed and will keep coming back. This is the best Italian restaurant you will find in the area. Only down fall is no liquor license personally I’d love a good glass of bourbon with my dinner. But the wine list is great and substitutes just fine.

I have had dinner at this restaurant on New Year's Eve for the past two years by myself. Always had a great experience and the food and service were top notch so I decided to bring my daughter and her boyfriend this year. We were seated in the middle of the floor and the servers serving the tables on either side of us would bump our chairs everytime they walked by. The specials were somewhat limited compared to previous years. Our server was put offish from the get go. When I asked her which plate would she recommend between the two I was considering she couldn't really say and suggested the more expensive one. We had the meatball appetizer which is always a winner! My daughter had spaghetti and meatballs and her bf had the shrimp linguine. I had one of the specials, the shrimp risotto. I was extremely disappointed with mine. The risotto was creamy yet salty. The shrimp were big enough but for 34.00 the portion was rather small in my opinion. Her bf's shrimps dinner was just ok. Our server barely came back to check on us during our dinner. I had to ask someone else to refill my drink for me since I didn't know were she was. Overall I was very disappointed with the dinner and the experience. I had great expectations based on my previous visits but this one was a let down for sure.

The food is excellent and so was the service. My only comment is that the restaurant is small and the seating is tight. For an excellent Italian meal Pranzo is a great place to go.

Quite frankly, disappointing. It's not that the food was bad. It was ok. But just ok. Not extraordinary. Not memorable. The service was also just pretty adequate. Given the prices, and the reputation, I would have expected better.

Had a great experience there last night. Great waiter and the best Veal Parm i can remember having in a long time. Will be back.
