Waitress was very nice. Food tasted great. I didn't like the lighting inside but it wasn't a big deal.

Service can be more attentive. Food is always good, especially if you know what you're making with the sauce at the sauce bar. Love hot pot and my friend loves the sushi

Food was okay but service is was horrible. never explained the menu. The prices are not on the menu. we had to get our servicer anytime we wanted something. My fiancée, our daughter and I went and ordered a kids hibachi chicken, I had 12 piece of California roll sushi, and he got a speciality roll with 12 piece And our bill was over $100. Never ever going back.

*******DO NOT, I repeat do not get the HOT POT THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO AUTOMATICALLY BE CHARGED an EXTRA $10.99 on top of the $26.99 they already charge. ******* MY DAUGHTER WANTED TO GO. I Told THEM I HAD NEVER Been before, and that they would have to tell me how to order. The waiter said to check the box if everything you want in your soup. We did that. I'm telling you two big hungry men couldn't eat what they bring you, plus a gallon of broth. Then when you are done they reserve the right to charge you a food wasting fee. The thing is they charge you regardless if you leave it there or take it. They are the food wasters!!! Why bring a mountain of food that there is no way you can eat it all. It wasn't even tasty. SUCH SCAMMERS!!! I will never go back.

Large family dinner of about 20. Hot Pot not well organized. Orders were mixed up, many of the protein items were frozen hard, and soup was too salty w too much MSG. Most with hot pot did not get what they ordered. Some of the burners did not work so guests had to move around across the tables until finding a burner that worked. One person ordered three scallops for their hot pot and was given one scallop cut into three chips. Sone ordered AYCE sushi, which was better, but equally disorganized. Waiter did not know whose tray belonged to who and they kept the checked menu so guests did not know either. Dessert was ice cream sandwiches from Walmart next door. Waiter came by with the box and handed out the bars. Rarely any cleanup and the tables were too small for these pizza pans with the hot pot fixings or sushi, plus uncovered burners, plates and bowls. Staff actually were a bit mean and tempered. Place was almost empty, so likely this place will close due to poor service and food. Avoid this place unless you like to be abused for $35/person.

Unique tempura offerings of mixed, or 6 pieces of a specific veggie. We (2 of us) had a yummy tempura broccoli plate followed by hibachi: shrimp & salmon, and chicken & shrimp. Many combo choices. Generous portions. Choice of noodles or fried rice (not a usual Japanese restaurant choice). All food made well and tasty. Hot sake. Some Chinese art in mostly Japanese decor. I lived in Asia for 3 years. I see the difference. Close to our home, we will return! Enough food we brought home some shrimp, fried rice, chicken & noodles. Next morning cut up the shrimp, scrambled a couple of eggs & chopped zucchini, then added the shrimp, and rice and enjoyed a lovely shrimp fried rice breakfast adding the hibachi sauce.Parking: Lots and lots of parking in giant lot.

I love Kintaro but this is now the 2nd time that we've had bad service at the Eastlake location. We went on a Monday evening and waited forever to be seated which was fine the lady asked us how many people grabbed some menus and we were seated. It was my friends 1st time and she had no idea what she was doing. She attempted to order individual items and the waitresses was rude and disgruntled. she explained this is an all you can eat and she should have said that before we sat down but we had no idea.. We ere just following the hostesses who sat us. My friend tried to explain that she had recently had surgery and was not able to consume that much food. Myself and my little one were ready to order and we knew we would like the all you can eat items and continuedto mark what we would like to start with. The waitresses gave us a nasty look and snatched the Menus from us and through them away and gave us all the individual purchasing menu's and stormed away. We were so taken back by her tone and body language that even my little one was ready to leave. Needless to say we will never go back to the Kintaro Eastlake.

Food was so so and the service is not good. The lady infront was very rude when I asked to clarify the tip on the bill as we don't have tip culture in Australia, I don't think they deserve to receive the tip but that's ok, I just simply don't come back and not recommend to my friends.I can not eat big meal so I ordered regular meal and We've been told that we can not share food. I think because my mom and my sister are having "all you can eat hotpot" and I have sushi, but the staff could have talk to us in the nice way instead of saying " you cannot share food".
