First time visiting here. Our family of 3 came for brunch. A bit chaotic on check in - vestibule overflowing with nobody to greet guests. Once we got seated we had a lovely waitress who was efficient. Food was edible but bland. Each of us ordered a different item and thought the same. Presentation and quantity were fine.

Loved The Leaf. Very large drink and good menu. We had brunch and the mimosas were fantastic! Love the atmosphere and the staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend and will be going back to try dinner

I went to this place specifically because it was a new place to try obviously, but also I noticed on their menu they had Japchae which I have not had in a long time so I was excited to have it again. We got to the restaurant and were seated right away because we made a reservation but from there it all went downhill. We were served extremely slowly. The only things that came out quickly were our appetizers and they were very sub par. Then I ordered the japchae with steak as the protein and everything was fine until the waitress came back to the table and said they don't serve that anymore...I was so disappointed but I got the shepherds pie which was okay but very soupy and the vegetables were not fresh. It took an hour to get our main dish and the pricing is just not worth the entire experience to me. I would have rather went to a place I had been before with better food and paid the same price if not less. Also, if you use a card here they charge almost $10 for that so that was a fun surprise ??

The food was amazing! What a cute little spot too! We've been visiting a new restaurant each month for a year now and honestly this one is one of my favorites and we will be back!

We waited 40-45 minutes for our food to come out while people that came in after us received their order. When our food came out my wife's waffles were a little burnt. Our server replaced them with a regular waffle promptly, but it was under cooked. Server adjusted our bill, which was awesome. Food was still better than most places, just not their usual standard. Still my favorite restaurant!

The best dining experience I have had in the Wooster area (I am from Wooster). I consider myself a bit of a foodie, and The Leaf provided an experience that I would typically only expect to get in a bigger "trendier" city. It was outstanding. No complaints at all.

I had business in Wooster and took a chance coming here and was so glad I did. The food was excellent and there were very tasty gluten-free options that my girlfriend appreciated. Our waiter was excellent and to top it off the chef even came out to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I would definitely come here again.

The Open Table reservation did not go through to The Leaf Restaurant, in spite of receiving a confirmation email and showing that to the host. The host said to call next time as the online reservations sometimes don't come through. They shouldn't offer online reservations if there is an issue with receiving and honoring those, or they should at least suspend online reservations while fixing the issue. Luckily, a table opened up right as the host was saying we could be added to the waiting list, so we were able to be seated at our reserved time. The tables were all a bit cramped, but the atmosphere was generally lively and fun. We also appreciated the eco-friendly vibe of the reclaimed wood tables and wall coverings. The food was tasty with reasonable portions, with the option to do half portions, though the half portion prices were not anywhere near half price ($17 vs. $14). We appreciated the availability of vegan and vegetarian menu items, as well as the ability to make substitutions to make the additional vegetarian options.

We decided to try out The Leaf on New Year's Eve because of the overall positive reviews and their regular menu posted online looked to be well marked for people with dietary restrictions ( I can't eat dairy). Upon being seated we discovered special holiday menus on the table which were not marked for gluten free, vegetarian or vegan options and had nothing without dairy listed (which is fine...figured I could just ask). After about a half hour waiting for the waitress to simply confirm whether the kitchen could make me something dairy free we opted to pay 26 the dollars for the two not that great cocktails we had and left. A group that came in at the same time we did had finished appetizers by the time we decide to give up, so it was just kind of baffling that it was such a hold-up to confirm something could be made with olive oil instead of butter. It was a really disappointing experience.

The chef creates amazing dishes. The short rib ravioli was excellent! The meat pulled alert with a fork. So delicious. Another excellent dish was the blackened shrimp tostadas. The layering of flavors kept every bite interesting and tasty. I have to eat gluten free and they have so many choices. This is my favorite local restaurant by far.

Brunch Rating - 3.5/5I visited for the first time in mid-September 2023 on my day trip to Wooster, Ohio to visit a friend. We both arrived to the restaurant around after 12:00 noon. The restaurant was starting to get busy upon arrival but we luckily were seated right away.FOOD -- I ordered the Loaded Potato Omelette ($13) with side of potatoes -- inside the omelette is bacon, potatoes, green onions. I got mine WITHOUT cheese and sour cream. The omelette was good and tasted like any traditional omelette. The majority of the side potatoes were burnt but the whole meal was still edible. The omelette would have tasted better with tomatoes. I also ordered the Belgian Waffle ($8) which comes with fruit on top but I got the fruit on the side so that I could add syrup on the waffle. PARKING -- Street parking but I think my friend and I found a parking lot behind the restaurant. Overall, the Leaf appears to be a popular restaurant with the locals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While I don't live close to Wooster, I can definitely see myself visiting again if I'm ever in the area.****- 86/150 total reviews in 2023- 637 total overall Yelp reviews- Reviewed on 1 December 2023

On Sunday, I called while leaving Akron after a visit there to ask if the restaurant was busy for brunch. The person that answered the phone said that they were not busy, however they do not take new customers after 2:30pm. I mentioned that we would be there within that time.We arrived at 2:27pm, and when trying to enter the restaurant the door was locked. We saw some people inside and they just looked at us and made us feel as if they were saying, "...too bad, so sad, ..., not!"We were just disenchanted and left to another restaurant down the street.

My family found this restaurant on Sunday for brunch. We were very pleased! The service was wonderful and friendly. The food was delicious and there were plenty of choices for everyone. We had the mozzarella sticks, fish & chips, hair of the dog burrito, and the Baja chicken bowl. Everyone was pleased with their meal. The restaurant is inviting and decorated well, very nice all around. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food and service. The servers and kitchen staff make dining here easy for me. I have a lot of food allergies, and I really appreciate that they are able to answer all my questions so I can make safe selections, and they don't treat it as a burden.

We requested a booth and upon arrival we were not told we were getting a booth. We were walked to a small corner table. The people in our party our 6'4 tall so this was not very accommodating especially since we were not made aware upon arrival that the request could not be met. I reserved the table days in advance and called to be sure because a few weeks prior we made reservations online and got told upon arrival “the system crashed for reservations, it'll be a 30 minute wait.” Poor experiences both times. Enjoy the food but the seating options are not very accommodating.
