Coffee Shops in Atoka

“I found "Freedom in a cup" on Apple Maps while traveling through on I-75. To be honest I don't enjoy the taste of coffee but needed a pick me up for my travels and someone else's review of the place caught my eye. I stopped in, met the owner and explained my need for caffeine but desire for something that basically tasted like dessert. He was incredibly friendly and offered to whip something up. I remember he mentioned caramel and coconut but I couldn't tell you what else he put in this concoction. *Side note* while waiting for my turn to order he delivered this crazy looking drink to the drive through window that contained a bright green liquid with a caramel topping, he called it a candied apple or something of the sort, it looked both intriguing and delicious. Part of me wished I had ordered that just to try it but I was equally excited to taste what he built for me. Essentially, this was one of the best coffees I've ever tasted. I literally sucked it down like I hadn't had a drop of fluid in weeks. I wish I had orders two just so I could continue to enjoy the deliciousness for a bit longer. The only negative thing I can say is that I'm severely disappointed I live hours away and will only be able to return for another beverage when traveling through Oklahoma, which I will absolutely do every single time I pass by.“

“Brand new Starbucks, it was very clean and pretty, but what really made it was the service. The two young men working were incredible, they were kind, personable and you could tell they truly enjoyed being there. DJ was one of them, but I didn’t catch the other young man’s name. Good job guys! And thank you!“

“Clean for a fairly busy McDonald's, staff were not rude and the burgers were on point and tasted better then the burgers where we live. This location has more bathroom stalls then your normal McD's which is nice since it is positioned at the intersection of a busy highway. Only downside is that they were super busy so we placed our order at the kiosk for dining in and were not provided our purchased ice cream cone when our order was called, but were able to finally receive it after waiting in line and letting the lady at the register know since no other employee was present at the front counter. Which is understandable considering the rush, but would definitely recommend everyone to immediately check your order upon receiving it to ensure you received everything. Overall this is a McDonald's worth stopping at if you like McDonald's and need a restroom.“
