The website says open at 5:30 and it was 5:45 according to the sign on the door it said 5 and there was a guy in there I knocked he said with a hateful expression said not open so I showed him sign says 5 he ran off

Every time I come to this McDonald's I sit in the Drive-Thru for 20 minutes before I get my food that's is always cold I will never come back here again I will drive the extra miles to go to another McDonald's if I need to.

Well guys I officially done with the McDonald's in Blackwell had a horrible experience there today. I ordered on there mobile app for my kids and it accidentally ordered for the counter. I figured hey no problem I will just tell them at the speaker no big deal. No kidding I waited with a car behind me for 25 minutes. Not exaggerating 25 minutes solid. So a little frustrated and no longer wanting my food I pulled forward and there were two cars in front of me that I did not see before. So after forty minutes of waiting I finally reached the windows and calmly asked for a refund. The girl at the windows told me to pull forward and wait and they would take care of the refund. so I sat for a additional 25 minutes then pulled back around and got in line. Once at the windows the manager could not refund me because I did not have the card that was stored in the mobile app. So I left with no food or money and was treated poorly. I cannot tell you how much money I have spent there. We live in a sad world where the customer is last.

First thing I noticed was the building smelled like sewage. I ordered a mango smoothie but they didn't have the ingredients for that so then I asked for a chocolate shake, they couldn't get that out either. But they did give me a large drink and refund which I did appreciate from the workers. They tried.

They seem to hire about half decent folks and half who don’t care in the slightest. Likely due to the fact that poor pay gets you low quality employees. Pay a bit more and you can hire people who care more as they have more to lose if they get fired. Again. Some of the people I’ve met passing through the McDonald’s in Blackwell over the years are polite, and actually want to do good, but they are likely like that in spite of the poor pay. They’re good folks regardless.

As you can see from the ratings, this McDonald’s has a bit lower ratings than similar ones. Most I’ve seen are 3.0 or more, this one is now 2.9. The service there has made me skip this store for others more than once. You lose more money by paying and hiring poorly than you do just charging a dime more for food and paying a bit better the small crews you have.
