Initially thought that the place was pretty normal. Small down to earth small town diner. We waited awhile for our food, during which another family came in, ordered, ate and then had food to go. Then another gentleman came in and ordered four different plates to go. All of this was done before we received our order.Food was mediocre at best.Parking: Gravel parking lot.

Wasn’t busy this Saturday morning, but food took a long time. Bacon was terrible…never thought I’d say that. Scrambled eggs were broken into little pieces…weird. Pancake was good. Waitress was nice but you could tell she was brand new at it. Atmosphere was what you’d expect from a super small diner.

One closed sign means, “Closed Regular Hours.” Two closed signs mean, “Closed temporarily.” Three closed signs and shuttered window’s means “Closed permanently, go away.” And that is what we have. We checked twice during their regular operating hours. No change. Annie’s is CLOSED and it appears to be permanently. No indication of reopening posted on the door.

Small local cafe, had 3-way chili and spaghetti. It was pretty good. The young man taking orders was polite, but it seemed to be his first day. We weren't in a hurry, so it didn't bother us too much. Other customers coming in after us were a little frustrated I think at the long wait to order.

Stopped by for a stamp in my Route 66 passport book. The staff was so friendly and cheerful. It seemed to be a very cozy stop.
