Love me some Rick's Fine Chocolates & Coffee! It's the only coffee shop in Guthrie for me. They know me by name, usually know what I'm going to order when I walk in, and their friendly staff, hands down, are the best baristas in town. Go to a conglomeration, overly-priced, woke joint if you want to. Me, I'm going to a locally-owned--owner on site--family friendly, chocolate & coffee shop with the best prices, products, and service of ANY coffee shop I've stepped foot in. Any where. Any town. Small coffee shop and chocolatier near downtown. Clean shop with plenty of tables and seating. Loads of chocolates, prewrapped and behind the counter. Good drinks. Baskets and chocolate bunnies available for Easter. Bags of coffee beans available. Potato chips clusters are perfection.

I visited Rick’s yesterday after having lunch at Stables. I took a friend by there that had never been there before. We had blended chocolate coffees & picked out our favorite chocolate’s& found some favorites to take home. There are certainly too many to choose from & even more Teas & Coffees on the shelves. We bumped into Santa tonight at Rick's :) 20 years ago my husband and I had our first date at a tiny little chocolate factory in Riga, Lativa. So, tonight I took him up to Rick's Fine Chocolates & Coffee for a re-create. We got a small latte, a medium breve and 8 chocolates for about twenty bucks. We both enjoyed our coffee, and our chocolates, we sampled a Cashew Wurtle, a dark chocolate peppermint patty, a dark chocolate lemon cream, dark chocolate strawberry cream, dark chocolate cookie dough, a butter finger and each got a dark chocolate caramel (the last of which we are saving for tomorrow). We enjoyed them all, especially the Wurtle and lemon cream. The cookie dough was more like a brownie bite, but delicious as well and the size of the chocolates are nice and petite. For sugar free folks, they also have a nice selection of sugar free chocolates as well! The tables were clean and the seating area isn't entirely spacious, so tables are close, but it didn't feel cramped. Just your standard table and wooden chairs. But with old photo's of old town Guthrie, a painted tin roof and half wall it feels very sweet. There were very few people in the shop when we entered but at about 4:30 there was a bolt of people and it filled up quickly. Great for a small little date night dessert or an afternoon get together with a friend to chat. We will be back :)
The store is very nice and cozy. The coffee itself is really delicious. There is also a nice selection of chocolate to buy as a souvenir or just to snack on.
