We have wanted to stop here for a long time, and was finally able to make that happen. Maybe we had too high of expectations because of that anticipation, maybe we stopped on an off day, or maybe it’s just not that good. We paid $40 for two adults, including an appetizer, but only drinking water. We both ordered the brisket, but had different sides. Neither of us were impressed with the meat-it lacked flavor and was served luke-warm. My husband ordered fries as one of his sides, which is on the menu for an extra $2.99. They were served soggy. He did ask for them to be dropped back in the fryer and that helped. They also comped those for us. The other sides included (soggy, bland) Cole slaw, corn on the cob, (ketchup flavored) baked beans, and (dry) rolls. Then we had the privilege of listening to our waitress visit while waiting to have our drinks filled, the table cleared, and offered our cobbler that comes with the meal. The reason we knew about the cobbler is because we heard the other waitress offer it to her customers that came in at the same time as we did. The funny thing was that our waitress would hold the counter down while the other waitress took care of her customers....ours just waited on her friend to come back, never checking on us. So, after waiting several minutes my husband went to the counter and asked if it came with cobbler and if we could get drink refills. When the cobbler came out (peach) it was served cold. No offer to warm it or anything. Overall, a pretty negative experience. We have always seen several cars there anytime we drive by, so thought it would be good, especially after checking out the menu. Now we are thinking this may be the only bbq place in the area and that is why people go there.
