The first time I went to Syrup it was amazing. Today I took my family, and I’m not sure if it was because we went around noon, they close at 1, but my food wasn’t as great as the first time.My biscuits were pretty hard, and they looked like they were sitting in the expo window for awhile. My kids got the sweet cream pancakes, and those were my good.I’m a restaurant manager, and I believe in sending out the same quality food at the end as we do at the beginning of service, and I was disappointed that I spent so much money, and my food was not the quality I paid for.

I sat down and was handed a menu, and 10mins later, I still sat with no Drink nor did anyone come ask if I wanted anything to drink or eat. So I got up and left.

Cozy downtown breakfast spot. We went mid morning on a weekday. Not crowded, quick service. Wide variety of coffee creations to choose from. Had the sweet cream waffle with fresh berries: perfect size, light, and perfectly made. Also tried the salted caramel latte and thoroughly enjoyed this as well. Looking forward to another visit!

Why rate it as I did?I altered the Eggs Benedict, croissant and sausage with two eggs on the side. Endless cup of drip coffee ☕️Eggs Benedict was cold, extra eggs forgotten, and no endless hot coffee. Coffee was bitter and wasn’t kept topped.

1st time visiting after seeing good reviews and wanting to try a new to us spot. We were a party of 2, only customers in the building for a Monday morning breakfast. Ordered biscuits and gravy, and an order of their crunchy French toast. Food came out lukewarm at best, hard, no sausage on the biscuit and gravy. We tried a few bites and ended up just paying and leaving. Being our 1st time, I'm not sure if it's customary to walk up to the counter and pay, or have a ticket brought to your table, but we walked up to the counter. Hopefully an off morning based off other reviews posted.

Tasty gluten free options, and great service. Not the place to go for a quiet meal or to catch up with an old friend- it is too noisy for that. If you are looking for great food and good service, though, you won't be disappointed. Staff is knowledgeable about gluten free cross contamination concerns, and employ cleaning practices to reduce the risk. Having Celiac disease, I still request gf pancakes in place of their gf waffle. They clean the shared waffle iron before making a gf waffle but, I prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to food. :)

The food here is great! The service is terrible. I’ve been here about 5 or 6 times and there’s something wrong every time I’ve been.

Very slow service. Left guests waiting at tables for lengthy time. Was sat down, waiter came out pretty quickly to take our order for drinks and food. We ordered a coffee and a hot chocolate. It took over 15 minutes to get meanwhile the table next to us received their food after ordering right after we did. It took another 15 minutes for our food to come out. (We wouldn’t have been so annoyed if the table next to us hadn’t received their food so quickly and it take ours so much longer to get.) Another group across from us was also left at their table not being served the whole time we were waiting on our order and after we left.

I ordered the biscuits and gravy. It was good, but parts of the biscuits were tough. Gravy was different, it tasted more like a brown gravy. My friend ordered Home Sweet Homa. It was a large sampler which he said was tasty. Service was good. Atmosphere laid-back. We didn't have any wait for a table.

We have been in several times and each time it has been great! Today we reserved our seat using the online waiting list and got sat as soon as we walked in. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I wish the menu and a few more options but the hash I had satisfied my cravings. The croissant sandwich was perfect as well.

Syrup makes a great, affordable, delicious breakfast. There are gluten free options as well as cold brewed coffee. Our latest visit was quieter though it was during a time that the restaurant was not as busy.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options still available

Hard no for me. Had the biscuits and gravy, tasted salty and microwaved. Drip coffee is terrible. When I reported the food as being disgusting they still charged for the half a cup of coffee we drank and the eggs I picked at...lol...no customer service resolution. Ewww on many levels. Won't go back.
