Fantastic Greek food! I've tried the chicken and beef/lamb gyro and they were outstanding (beg/lamb was best). The hummus is phenomenal, the falafel was delicious. I am a big guy, and I always leave satisfied. My only problem is that it's completely across town from me :(.

I purchased a spicy gyro sandwich and when I got home ready to dig in, the lettuce was wilted and brown! The tomatoes were end pieces that had something greenish/brown on them! ? This isn't the first time that this has happened to me. The food is good for the most part, but before leaving check the vegetables to make sure they are fresh!!!! The female manager or owner was very rude by acting like I did something wrong! After 3 tries, I still didn't get a sandwich with fresh vegetables! I was so hungry by then, I took the old vegetables off and ate the rest of the sandwich! ?

This is probably some of the best Greek food in the state, but the fact they want to upcharge $3 to sub a salad in place of fries/rice is a scam. I dislike having to pay more to be healthy when their lettuce will wilt before they have even have to think twice to replenish their rice and fries.

Silly GrubHub order experience. The beef salad I ordered was good, but had no beef ($15). The burger patty wasn't great. There were no pictures for the dessert pastries, so not sure if the baklava cake is typical baklava or an actual cake slice, but got the baklava, which was good. Would not order through a delivery app again.

Found this place by chance on my cross country road trip. The atmosphere and service was incredible. The food came out pretty quickly. We were all so hungry and we devoured every bite. One of the best Mediterranean restaurants I’ve ever been to, the food is absolutely delicious and worth every penny. We also had the tea and dessert, they were both great. The decor made us feel homely and comfortable. A great pit stop, can’t wait to be back one day!
Pesto hummus is amazing! Great teas and desserts too! Everything is fresh and authentic. Great service. I'm a regular for sure.

For the first time, I was disappointed by Basil today. I have been a regular at Basil for 2 years, and have always enjoyed the fair-priced, quality food, low-key atmosphere, and friendly service. I came in at 1:10 pm today, after not dining there for about 6 weeks, and it seemed like a completely different place. I had to repeat my order 3 times, as the disinterested lady taking my order was repeatedly interrupted by other employees, who apparently also had no clue about fundamental principles of customer service. It took nearly 20 minutes to get food ( it never took even remotely that long before) and the food was not what I ordered. When I finally did get my order, it was cold and lacked the rich flavor i had come to expect at Basil, plus the fries were over-cooked. I looked around, and it was clear the usually spotless windows had not been cleaned in quite some time, and the store was otherwise not up to its usual high level of cleanliness. I truly hope this is all a temporary management lapse.
I love this place. People are friendly and welcoming. The place is nicely decorated and very, very clean. They make the best gyro in OKC. It is stuffed with delicious meat and fresh vegetables, and the sauce is yummy. The price is normal and good for what you get. Their dessert case has perfectly made beautiful pastries.Parking: Plenty of parking and easy access to 23rd St or take side streets.
