Delicious!! The pork belly, Char Siu, Shrimp, and Tofu buns were phenomenal. Breading on the shrimp has a slight spice that goes perfectly with the rest of the ingredients, fries and Aioli pair perfectly. Would definitely recommend if you are thinking about trying.
I first tried Cafe de L’asie when they were at The Collective. It was great because my husband and I were trying a little bit of everything, right? So we got one bao to share. I took one bite and was immediately like “NOPE. YOU’RE GETTING ANOTHER ONE!” Haha! They haven’t changed since their brick and mortar location. If anything, they’ve gotten even better. Excellent flavors. I was a little upset because the penne primavera was gone but when I tried the banh mi I was shocked. It was amazing, two contrasting flavors that blended perfectly, just spicy enough and the texture of the shrimp was perfect.
