So... I recently went to the "Drum Room". I called in a order 15 minutes prior to picking up my food. Waited for about 25 more minutes (there were no other customers there) and the guy actually ended up giving me a extra waffle and extra fried okra for our long wait (and the fact that they were out of mashed potatoes and gravy.) When I opened up the food I was very disappointed at the quality of the food. The chicken looked dry and burned up. The okra was dark and way over cooked. They looked like they were fried in motor oil. We tasted the okra and it was terrible. The chicken was just as nasty. Bland and greasy. We threw it all in the trash! I actually was feeling sick after tasting the food and had an awful old grease taste in my mouth. Stomach had the same feeling. The place was cluttered, even on the floor. Almost of the tables were dirty. No dishes on them, just dirty. I cannot even understand how there are any good reviews for this place. It is obvious that the condition of the restaurant has been this way for a long time. That type of grime has taken years to achieve. The only thing that was ok was the can soda and it seemed suspect considering the grimy place it came from.

I have been to the drum room at least 3 times. All times I have been satisfied. Im using my daughters account, but we are from out of town and I wanted my family to try as well. If I could give NEGATIVE stars for the service I received today, I would! We ordered 4 meals for 4 people. The white man? (not trying to make this about race but that is all we saw) at the counter behind the bar was EXTREMELY rude. We had ordered chicken fried steak and I guess in the 15 min we had ordered they had “ran out of gravy”. We didn’t find out UNTIL we got in the car and checked our food. One of the wing orders also wasn’t hot so we asked for the money back as well. When we asked for our money back and the man was extremely rude saying “the money is coming out of the employees checks” which, in my opinion, is extremely unprofessional. After a battle we got our money back for the 2 orders and he proceeded to the be even more unprofessional and say “Since you want your money back give us those other 2 as well?” We GLADLY obliged. To the manager, I WILL be calling about this idiot employee that’s making your business look bad. We gladly gave it to him and will not be back. It also smells old and funky in here. Do NOT come here.

The food was absolutely delicious, but our server was bartending, waitressing and hostessing - you could tell that management is keeping the service short staffed and overworked. This review is not reflective whatsoever of our waitress, she was great and doing the best she can. It sucks because halal restaurants are few and far between in OKC and we were excited to try this spot out but because of the service I don’t think we’d necessarily return anytime soon.

Fried Chicken was overcooked close to burned and so was the Okra. Tasteless $30 down the tubes. Won’t go back!

I used to love this place and everything about it prior to the change of ownership. We got lunch there today, and everything about it was horrible. I just know it is no longer one of my favorite places to eat nor recommend.

The food was absolutely amazing. I was craving comfort food and comfort food I received. The vibe in the restaurant is chill. The decor is eclectic, funky and fun. Chicken art mixed with well, drums. I have anew favorite destination when I come OKC. This time it was chicken fried chicken. Next time it will be the chicken and waffles. Service was great and the server was friendly, talkative and kind. If you haven’t been, you need to give the Drum Room a whirl. It’s is worth the hype and the menu.

I went here with my parents a couple of weeks ago and everything was worth the wait. In fact I thought it was so good I made reservations for Valentines Day. I wish I hadn't. The sides were cold, they had no fried pickles and the CO2 machine was down. The chicken was hot but it did not have the same flavor and didn't seem as fresh as the first time I came here. Very bizarre. All of this could have been told to our waitress but she was so focused on a 10-top that it seemed nothing else mattered. It was us, two patrons at the bar, and three tables of two and the table of ten. I dont know if she was overwhelmed or what(possible). But she did not check on us at all so we had no way to discuss these issues. Considering the occasion and the price point (plus other reviews with the same experience) I'm not sure I'll be recommending this restaurant or returning. If all I am willing to drive 20 minutes for is fries I can find that elsewhere.

An unpleasant experience, from the moment styrofoam cups were set on the table. Overall the food was "not terrible". The 45 + minute wait to get it while fewer than 12 people in the whole place was unacceptable. No beer on tap on a Saturday evening, chicken fried"steak" is ground beef. Fried chicken compares to local grocery store hot deli, but it's $22. Perhaps styrofoam cups are not saving money after all? Will not go be returning.

This was our first time there, and we really enjoyed it. My husband got the whole chicken, and I ate the wings. It tasted similar to my mom's fried chicken. I had the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, and it was excellent. Our waitress, Natasha, was a lot of fun, too. We'll be back.
