Place is quite unique. Homey and rustic feel to it. Our waitress Juliann was great. Food was plentiful and good. Hash-browns I ordered weren't cooked all the way. Mentioned to our waitress and she spoke with Manager and was able to get 20% taken off our ticket. Highly recommend!

Had breakfast with a friend. The food was great and the service was awesome. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. I would say it's comparable to IHOP or Dennys. The portion size is hefty, so if you're really hungry, it'll get the job done.

We live locally in Owasso OK and eat at Black Bear Diner often. This visit on Nov 10, 2023 was excellent. Our server was Juliann and she was attentive and made the experience lovely. My daughter was visiting from out of town and this was the perfect place to go for breakfast

So delicious!! I already want to go back in the morning for another breakfast! I loved the menu, it's a newspaper. Made me reminisce about my grandpa reading the newspaper, and it just felt very comforting. The restaurant made you feel like you were on vacation up in the mountains. Very clean very fast and friendly service. The waitress was always asking if we needed anything else and was very assertive. The food came out nice and warm and was absolutely tasty and good!! I think those were the best pancakes I've ever had. The only thing I could say, I would like to change is the scrambled eggs were very thin. I like them fluffy and scrambled not like a thin piece of paper... but I'm over looking that because the rest of the breakfast was very good. Next time I'll just order fried eggs. I also had wish I ordered a hot chocolate, so I'll be doing that next time too. Because the picture looked really yummy. *They give military discount.

This place is mediocre at best. DO NOT GET THE RUBEN as suggested in other reviews. Meat was so dry I couldn’t even tear it let alone bite into it and it seemed that the dressing wasn’t even put on the sandwich. The sweet potato fries tasted like they dipped them in oil then cooked them in the microwave and were soggy. The gravy somewhat saved the chicken fried steak but just barely because it was so flavorless. 0/10 recommend, I would’ve rather spent $35 a fast food place.

We came in and my wife ordered the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans with a totilini soup. She never got the soup, one waitress was sweeping the floor while the other one looked lost. Chicken fried steak tastes burnt. Green beans tasted like something that was microwaved. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant in Owasso. We thought it would be better than Tulsa and we were wrong. Paid 39.18 for dinner, big mistake... The waitress only came to our table at the end of our meal. Usually I tip at least 10.00 but this time I just couldn't do it. I never received my check, I had to walk up the counter, and she never gave me a receipt.

We went on Christmas Eve for our family dinner. Everyone got the special which was ribeye. Since I have difficult chewing I thought I should go with something else. I got chicken alfredo. Everyone's dinner looked amazing and they said it was delicious. Mine was ok, it was kinda dry and could have used sauce. It looked like it was dipped in sauce. So I didn't finish it. It would have been better if it had more sauce like I make mine at home. Service was great and decor is fantastic . Overall it was a pleasant time with the family .

So first off, the waitress was nice.. the restaurant honestly smelled terrible, like a house an old woman lives in with her 50 cats. I thought ya know what.. it’s got a cook style, I’m sure it’s fine. Menus were neat. I noticed there were no appetizers, annoying but okay I’ll manage. Tea was good.. lol the food was absolutely trash. Honestly just really horrible. My husband was so disappointed because my husband and I almost never get to go out together. He was trying to get me to just not eat and take me somewhere else but I didn’t want to waist the money. Ultimately eating there in general was a waste of money. So just save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

She did the best she could under the circumstances.Because two new cooks were working, we waited over an hour for our food.The server told our group we each would get a discount due to the excessively long wait. When my friend and I got to the register, we asked that the discount be honored. It was NOT.We don’t ever plan to return.
