Depending on what time you get there they don't have much out and it's definitely not hot. Although during rush hours (normal lunch and dinner times) the food is hot. In between lunch and dinner the food is cold and sometimes dried out. The people that seat you are friendly and they check on you to make sure everything is okay. It is a small Chinese place but with it not being as popular as most places, you would think they could keep their food up to a health inspectors standards. If you go during a regular lunch time or dinner time the food can be good.

Food was disgusting and rotten. Please avoid for health risk. I complained to the waitress and she stated that she doesn’t eat there. My family got up and left and we are concerned for our health after eating. The meat had a decaying taste like rotten fish on the shore of a lake. I’ve never had this poor of experience.

We walked in china star to eat and before we ate we decided to check out the food first and saw three cockroaches by the sushi area and just left we will definitely not be going back and the health department should probably shut this place down I'm truly surprised it's still

All food was cold, no flavor and mushie. Soy sauce tasted old, sweet tea tasted watered down and didn't taste sweet. Service was great.

My wife wanted Chinese food so we searched for a restaurant to go visit. We were greeted immediately by a friendly face and smile. The restaurant is very clean and bigger than it looks. Our table was very clean and had everything you need. Now the reason we came the buffet. I am not a seafood or fish eater but if you are this is the place for you numerous seafood dishes including fish, crab, different kinds of shrimp and a sushi bar that looked outstanding. My wife had all of her favorite seafood and sushi. Now for the non fish eaters I know there are not many but if you are one of them , there was plenty of food for us. Different chicken dishes and beef dishes steamed vegetables and pork. The desert table was just as stocked as the rest and all good something for everyone. We will be back good food good service at the right price.

I came here with my family the other day.. and to be frank, it was TERRIBLE. The customer service the moment we walked in was cruel and unwelcoming, the food tasted old and reheated, and the chicken smelled exactly like a wet dog.. Unappetizing and generally an uncomfortable experience. I'm being as generous as I can with 1 star, this was a terrible dining experience and I will not be returning in the future.Vegetarian options: What you veggie murderer no no no foo foe you!!

Do you still like coming here but now their food just tastes weird and not the same like low quality ingredients or something

Gave this place 5 stars because it is clean, service was great and food was tasty and fresh. Unfortunately they need to operate at a level where the stations are filled with just enough food for a few clients and they get refilled every time two or 3 people serve their food. It prevents waste and ensures freshness but looks weird for an all you can eat buffet. The building is old and tired. Good place and only Chinese buffet in Sand Springs.. Recommend!

On the low end of chinese buffets. Come at dinner time from 5-7 it's a gamble if the food is fresh or not. The parking lot is consistently empty during peak restaurant hours. It's because the food quality. The staff are nice.

I ordered the sweet n sour chicken, Kung Pao chicken, pork egg rolls, cream cheese ragoons, and 2 bottles of sweet tea. The food had some great flavor overall, however, the Kung Pao chicken had an unusually large amount of peanuts in the dish that overpowered the umami of the spices. The dish did have some kick to it, but I was disappointed to not find any of the traditional chilies that are often toasted with the dish. The chicken looked breaded in some capacity and had an unusual texture.Nothing was bad, I assure you, but the overall texture of this entree was not how most places prepare it.I spent $38+ dollars for a large order, and it was ready relatively quickly.
