I've eaten Vans pig stand dozens and dozens of times. Generally their bbq is spot on. However the past 2 times I've been there. (Norman and Shawnee south locations) the chicken has been dry and over cooked. The sliced brisket was delicious as always. Since I usually smoke my own bbq I understand chicken breast can be tough to keep "fresh" without drying out so this won't stop me from coming back when I don't have time to cook my own.

I want to like this place, and I thought it was better in the past, but the ribs I have gotten here for the past year or more has been poorly seasoned, with a muddy smoke taste and an unpleasant texture. The beef brisket has been similarly under seasoned and dry. The pig sandwich continues to be good, but pork butt is a very forgiving meat. I can't recommend anymore.

Ate here when we were in Oklahoma for Christmas. Not one bad thing was to be had. We had close to 20 people in our party and in between everyone we had most everything off the menu. Had to make sure to get some of the Peach Habanero BBQ to take home with us.

So good...just so good. You should really not expect a fast food experience, even though they try to get it out fast. This BBQ you can smell from way down the street. The sauces are great. This location's atmosphere is spot on. Go on, treat yourself to good BBQ.
