first of all, the food and atmosphere was great! this review is about my service- i was there with my boyfriend and our parents for a nice dinner post college tour, and my boyfriend is not considering osu (i am) but came along just to travel with me. our server asked my boyfriend numerous questions about himself and completely left me out of the equation. he didn't even look at me, even though i am the one considering osu. it felt very sexist to me, and i don't want any women to feel the way i did.

Selected as our anniversary dinner location and it did not disappoint. Prime rib chicken fried steak was amazing as was the filet. Highly recommended but make your reservations before weds if you are planning a Saturday visit.

The beef tenderloin over mashed potatoes was good and very tender. The wedge salad was especially good too. We always enjoy talking to the student waiters. Overall, a night at The Atherton and dinner at the Ranchers Club is a perfect night away.

Wasn't given a bag for my to go boxes so when trying to go get one from the staff and finally receiving one I tried to place my food inside but ended up dropping it because I was also holdthing the check and tip in my hand.. luckily the container held everything but the food look like a mess afterwards and the others patrons eating just watches the whole situation unfold and it was quite embarrassing. I'm not sure why I didn't get a bag when I asked/got the containers for the food but that could have all been avoided had I received it at my table. I still gave my waiter a cash tip and put another tip on the bill but again that was pretty upsetting. However the food was delicious. I do wish I had more steak on my order of "chicken fried steak" because I had a huge amount of empty fried bread crumbs and I knew the portion was too good to be true. However the flavor and taste was amazing just a let down when cutting into emptiness. Overall a high 3star rating but I would love to given a 4 if either of the situations stated didn't occur. I will be trying again in the future hoping this gets taken into account. I would recommend Ranchers club to a friend but I will "warn" them about said situations.

Everything was wonderful. Very well trained staff does an excellent job at all aspects of making it a great dining experience. Food was amazing and perfectly prepared. Thank you for a great evening. My wife and I will be back.

Unfamiliar with it's notoriety, history, or the connection to the wealthy rancher families. My experience was a blank canvas. The food was average and the decor outdated. The service was like we had a waiter in training. Friendly, but NOT high end. I felt terrible that my date paid such a price for the food and service. If your expecting Mahogany, Vast, or The Ranch... It is not.

My daughters and I go to the Ranchers Club every year to celebrate my wife's heavenly birthday. We have never been disappointed. They come from Denison Texas, Round Rock Texas, and NW Oklahoma. The Ranchers CLub is our favorite restaurant. As good or better than any Steakhouse in the country. Our waiter, Christian was very professional, and helpful. The steaks were perfectly cooked to the right temperature. Mouth watering good. Can't wait to go again.

I have been going to the ranchers club for more than 15 years. It is always a special experience with great service and excellent food. When the patio is open with great weather, there is no better patio in Stillwater. The Stateroom offers the same quality of food and service but with a more casual environment. Garrett is a new waiter and did an excellent job. Thank you!

The food was excellent and the ribeye was spot on. The stilly spritz was a nice touch to the meal. Keely was the absolute best server we've had. I hope we get more servers like her in the future. My wife and I were very pleased.

I visit OSU once a month and stay at The Atherton Hotel each stay. The Ranchers Club is the on site restaurant and while convenient the food is very inconsistent. Outside of salads, there are limited vegetarian options and if you want seafood salmon is the go too. However, even that is inconsistently prepared and often served overcooked. My go to is the Santa Fe salad and sweet potato fries which I would like to expand from but haven't found anything better. Fitting the decor is very midwestern and lots of cowboy design. The students work at the restaurant and like many places it depends on the server on quality. Understanding they're still learning, I haven't had an experience that wouldn't make me want to return. Hoping they'll consider adding at least a veggie burger option for those who don't eat beef and chicken.
The food was expertly prepared and delicious. The wait staff were pleasant to interact with. We had a long wait for our entrees but everything else was spot on and the salmon and chicken cordon bleu were worth the wait

It was our Anniversary dinner ... we love the Ranchers. It wasn't its usual last night. Wedge salad had “old” lettuce. Cordon chicken was filled w grizzle! Bill came w two errors - they corrected it without question though. This is only the first time I haven't given. 5-star rating. You are awesome ... maybe we just hit a bad time. Just thought you'd like to know our experience last night .. we'll be back for sure!!
