Reviewed April 19, 2019Health Score 53 out of 100Wonderful Flavors!I am no Thai food expert, but I'm pretty good at eating! I know what I like and I like what I had here! The Basil Fried Rice was very good. The tofu was cooked perfectly crisp. The basil, green onion and bell pepper flavors made the meal. The Green Curry with chicken was probably the best Thai dish I have ever had. The curry sauce was rich, slightly sweet with complex flavors. I had it at level 3 heat and it was perfect. It had just enough heat to have a bite, but mild enough to not mask any of the wonderful flavors. This was like eating biscuits and gravy. Once you start there is no stopping until your plate is clean! Wow!This meal had a remarkable combination of flavors! It was a very memorable lunch! It is a small restaurant. It has great service!Note: This review and photos were originally posted on Tripadvisor by Spike S.

Just got takeout. It was ok. I very much appreciate the times that are among us, so I don't want to be unjustly unfair. I'll give it another shot when times are better.

I attempted to call in an order 1.5 hours before they closed. I called 3 times with no answer. Would have loved to try there Thai, but they clearly don't want any business

This place has good food and kind people, but is very slow! It's not necessarily because the workers themselves are slow, but because they are highly understaffed. In fact, there was only one waitress, who was also acting as the hostess, and she mentioned that there was only one chef in the back. Wow!!! So this is something they really need to look into adjusting, I think. We waited 10-15 minutes to be seated, another several minutes before we ordered, and then what felt like FOREVER before our food came out. Maybe more than 30 minutes even? What was worse was that there wasn't even anything to munch on, which I'm sure made it feel even longer. Anyway, enough said about this- I think you get the point. They need more people!! When the food finally arrived, I enjoyed it. I got the pad pak curry (CC2) in the regular size. When I first saw it, I was wishing I'd maybe gotten the large size, but it ended up being enough, especially considering we got an appetizer. This curry seemed to have the most ingredients, so I think that's what sold me on it in the end, but I also liked that they had a good amount of other curry choices. I got to choose my spice level (yay!) and decided on a 4 out of 5. This ended up being a good choice. It was pretty spicy, but not so much that the flavors disappeared or that the heat was all I noticed/ could focus on. I'd probably stick to a 4 again if I go back. As I mentioned, we also had an appetizer, which was the satay (A5). We originally wanted the spring rolls, but were eventually told they were out of something, so chose the satay kind of on a whim. It was basically grilled chicken on a skewer. The flavor of the chicken itself was very nice. I think it had some spices, but it wasn't super noticeable and tasted pretty normal flavor-wise, as far as chicken goes. The amount of the chicken in each stick (it comes with 4 sticks) was good too. I liked that it came with 2 sauces. One was peanut sauce and I'm not sure about the other. The peanut sauce was much thicker than what I'm used to, and than I've ever had before. I'd almost call it a peanut paste! It was good and went really well with the chicken. I was surprised that they other sauce was also very sweet. By the looks of it, I thought it might have a more vinegar-y or balsamic type flavor. I think maybe it had cardamom? I don't know... but it was also good. I used more of the peanut sauce than that one though, just because I love peanut sauce. Will probably come back to see if the lack of workers was an always issue, or if we just came on a weird day. Regardless, the food was good so I'd be willing to go again, as long as we don't have to wait forever every time!

Went in about 2pm, there was only one person who was hostess and waitress for 7 tables. It took more than 15 minutes to even get a glass of water. The server was doing her best, but they need more staff. The only reason I gave more than one star was because the pad thai was delicious.

Great fresh food, cooked exactly to order and piping hot. Nothing fancy about this restaurant - just really good.

3 stars based on the service, very nice and accommodating. An order was in wrong and she was quick to correct it, very polite. The food appears to be geared towards a more Americanized midwest pallate.

Great place to get pad thai and peanut curry! Great variety of thai dishes and always friendly servers. They have pretty quick service during lunch - even with a full house. I sometimes take advantage of calling in my order and driving to pick it up. I highly recommend you try Bamboo Thai Bistro!

The flavor is great. The ingredients are just ok but the flavor overcomes it. I come back here often.

Very flavorful, but the curry dishes don’t have much sauce so the dish can taste a little dry.

Fantastic as usual. I ordered pad Thai, spice level two, chicken, tofu, and squid. My order came out perfect, my wife's was perfect and my brother's was perfect. My only complaint was the chicken tasted funny.

Food is kinda too salty but I love the taste. Pad Thai is great, so is green curry. Yellow curry has three meats so that is super cool
