Great lunch spot. Reuben was one of the best I've had in a long time. Server was very respectful of conversation at the table and was always there when we needed her.

Well, well, well... Never knew this place existed. For many many years I thought this place was a book store or something like that. My boss brought our crew to eat and pointed out that we would be eating at Brook. So, here is my review:°Food: I ordered the Steak Fajitas, I was hoping that she would ask how I wanted the meat cooked so I could choose medium rare but after she took my order and not asked I figured I would just let it be and see how they are cooking them. The fajitas were awesome. For this being a house classic, I figured it would come with two sides but it does not. It simply comes with a plate of tomato cheese and lettuce. Typically fajitas are served with a side of rice and a side of fries.°Service: service was a bit above average. Our waitress was seasoned and charismatic. She took care of us just as it is expected.°Atmosphere: I don't know what to say about this because the atmosphere was good but the restaurant felt outdated. The decor is from the early 2000's especially the bathrooms. The decor looks worn down. Here are some recommendations: the reception area needs a fresh look. Actually the entire restaurant could use a fresh updated look a bit modern; specially the bathrooms. On the Menu items it would be good if you guys could offer steaks; NY and Ribeye would be an awesome addition to your menu.Thank you for the awesome food!

$5 kids meals, $8 “half portions” that are definitely most people’s full portions, the best Mac and cheese you’ll ever have and chicken fried steak that’s dinner plate size. Solid menu top to bottom with giant portions for the price.

Always get the Mac N cheese. Cheese was a tad watery this time but still the best around. No wait Sunday after church...

This restaurant could do better. It fails in focusing on the little details.I had the ½ pound bacon cheese burger and the fresh cut fries. The burger was excellent. The thick beef patty was cooked exactly as ordered and escorted by fresh LTPO&M. The fries well…. Who doesn’t like those little over cooked crunchy crispy French fry pieces. Tasty because they are almost burnt and saturated with oil. But, would you like a plate full of them. A plate full of crumbs. Fryer left overs. This doesn’t match the pictures of the long finger length fries posted on Google and Yelp. Cooks, pay attention to the details. Someone somewhere is going to take a picture of your work.My wife had the Caribbean Salad. A big fresh salad with a nice grilled marinated chicken breast. It came with a small cup of perfect guacamole. She chose the Tomato Vinaigrette dressing recommended by our server Hannah. The perfect dressing for this salad. The down side was the harsh garlic flavor in the marinade used on the grilled chicken breast. It was fresh garlic, just too much in the house made marinade; overpowering all the other flavors in the salad. Back off a little on the garlic. The service was friendly, attentive and responsive. The Brook is just not quite good enough to draw me back more frequently. My last visit was May of 2019, pre Covid. The first thing I noticed today were plexiglass panels that are still up, standing guard, providing that lifesaving impenetrable wall of protection between each booth. Installed sometime during the pandemic as a result of the hysteria created from the misguided incompetence spewed from those heavily invested in big pharma and plexiglass manufacturing. I felt uncomfortable today not having a mask on while chewing my food. Not criticism of the restaurant. An action they had to take to try to stay in business. It was a tough time for everyone. Well at least they are up and ready for the next pandemic.

The experience I had tonight was not the best and my food was awful after I tried something different. The Mac and cheese is always good though so that's why I put 3 stars. Service could have been better he never came by and got me a refill or seen if everything was okay. All in all they have good days but today was a bad day unfortunately.

I got the fish and chips. The batter on the fish was disappointing. The pasta salad was good. We were by the windows, and it was cold.

I ate here for my first time, not great service. My card was charged for an item it shouldn't have been. When I called and talked to a manager she promised to make it right and would refund my card. Nothing ever happened. I called again, talked to another manager, explained the situation he told me the other manager did NOT take action and did not refund my money after promising she would. He told me because it was a new year the card couldn't be refunded. Then expected me to drive almost 30 minutes into town to pick up a $5 gift card. That was his "best way" to "make it right". I've worked in the restaurant industry 15+ years and this was just inexcusable. I won't go back, I suggest not paying with card, if they mess up you will get screwed over cause they won't want to make it right. The food was good, but just be careful. Was also told we had reservations when our party arrived we had no reservations and had to wait, causing us to be late to our event.
