We were passing through on our way from California back home to Wisconsin. We wanted some home cooked food. Diner food. My wife had the meatloaf. She loved it. Huge portion. I had the Chicken fried chicken. OMG!!! YES! Don't pass this one by. Clean diner, fair prices. Great food!

I visited on our trip route 66. The meal was OK, the service not so go. When I paid with my cars they declined it twice then without me knowing added an extra €9 for a tip even though I had already given a cash tip. Only just seen on my statement. Not happy as I live in the UK and can't pop back

I stayed at a hotel down the street and walked here for dinner. It is a old school diner that is pretty simple and nostalgic. I seated myself but it took awhile to get the attention of a server. The menu is pretty big and features all the classic diner staples, including breakfast all day. I settled for the Royal Burger and Onion Rings. It comes topped with an egg and crispy bacon. The burger itself as pretty average but it was good enough.

Oddly enough, for a diner they have the best spaghetti. We have completely stopped making it at home and only get it at Freeway. Every single thing they fix is absolutely incredible. If I were recommending a diner to someone traveling Route 66, this would be it.

First time to visit and won’t be the last. What a surprise when I saw fried green tomatoes on menu and crabcakes. Two of my favs that I ate weekly in Charleston, SC . My gosh the portions are “hungry man” size. Incredible dinner rolls and I’m not usually a bread eater but made exception today. Husband had chicken fried chicken with with a pile of fluffy mashed potatoes covered with creamy white gravy which he covered with his corn. I rounded out my dinner with fried okra. Cole slaw and fries were great too. Macaroni and cheese must be good because overheard waitress assuring phone call that they still had it. Anyway we brought home leftovers for tomorrow’s dinner. Too good to leave behind. Everyone friendly and received great service even though place was busy.

The food is always hot and fresh, and the servers are GREAT! Some of them have been there a long time. As with everything, their prices have gone up quite a bit, but you get large portions. They haven't been social distancing inside, but the girls are always willing to bring your order to you curbside. They do need to update their prices on the website. The food is very good. Lots of long-time, regular customers.
