We have not been here in years do previous bad experiences. Took a chance since we had heard positive feedback recently. The hype is right. Jamils is back at excellence. Give this classic a shot. The food was delicious and service was outstanding. Definitely will be back!

7:00 pm, couldn't tell if it was open. No cars in the parking lot. Not a soul in the restaurant. We have not been in a while, so wasn't sure what had happened to the place. My wife only wanted a baked potato, cabbage roll, hummus & tabouli. All were listed on the menu with individual prices. It would've been $11. They wanted to charge $22 for a "Shared Plate". I asked "what shared Plate, she's ordering Ala cart". "$22 because she's sharing the hors d'oeuvres" they said. I said, "we're not sharing anything, she's getting her own & they're all priced on the menu". "Sorry, we have to charge $22 for a shared plate"We said "Sorry, we'll go somewhere else to not share anything & not pay an upcharge", then leftNow we know why there's no one there.If we only ate the hors d'oeuvres, it would've cost us $44 for 2 cabbage rolls, 2 small bowls of tabouli, 1 small bowl of hummus to share between both of us. 1 green onion, 1 carrot, a few radishes, a piece of celery, a couple of pieces of pita bread a couple of tiny ribs & a few thinly sliced bologna cover in the worst bbq ever. I don't think so!We'll never go back.BTW..... we really miss Eddy's!**updated review to the response. We drove by earlier, we questioned if you were open. There were no cars earlier either. If you can serve 20 people in an hour's time where they all came & went & had the tables bused? That's amazing service. Why then was your restaurant completely empty after that party was served? Please don't make things up. Jamil's has suffered. It's not the same as in its glory days. Making people pay twice as much for items listed on your menu is not good business

Jamil's is probably Tulsa best (not so) hidden gem. It's family owned and the staff feels like family. The food is SO good, and you get tons of food for what you pay. It's not the cheapest but you definitely get the best bang for your buck.
The steak has great flavor and is cooked very well. Service was excellent, I will definitely be coming back!

It has been 55 years since my last visit, to Jamil’s. I waited with great anticipation, as my previous meal, was so incredible, that I measured all steak dinners, next to Jamil’s. Unfortunately, not only will I never compare Jamil’s to any other steak house, but several of my longtime friends, my wife and myself, will never step foot, near Jamil’s. The food was not even palatable. Everything, with the exception of our water or drinks, was so salty, we couldn’t even eat it. All five of us railed all last evening and all day today, January 21st, 2023. It was by far, the worst meal ever!! McDonald’s would by far, be a much better meal, at $300.00 less. When my wife ask to speak to the manager, far beyond her nature, our server, said he was the manager. His suggestion : “ Next time request less salt”. First he was abrupt in his service and offered no solution, to all five of us. Second: as I stated previously, none of us would ever step foot in there, again. I don’t ever write reviews, as anyone can have a bad day, and to vilify a business, is generally, wrong. But be forewarned, not in this case. We had reservations and the whole time we were present, there was two tables, with a total of seven people, on a Saturday evening. Shame on us, for not taking that, as our first clue.

I haven't been to Jamils since they moved locations, so it's been a long time!Food was great, everyone was very personable, service was great and dinning area was inviting. We will be back.
