Went to eat there today with my husband wanted to try it .Our first time there .Seemed rushed to make decision on what I wanted. It was so garlicky I couldn't finish my potroast it was so bad . Not expressed wont be back. And i love potroast.

There is Basically One Word to Describe Nelson Buffeteria. WOW. ? Totally Delicious. Great Portion Sizes . So Much Truly Tasty & Delicious Food for Myself. And The Price is Very Affordable. I need a Doggie Bag Nearly Everytime that I Go. That You Nelson's,s Buffeteria.!!!!!!!Parking: The main reason that the parking is difficult. Is Because Nelson Buffeteria is So Well Known and So Desired to Dine there.
While other classic Tulsa diners and eating establishments around town (all supposedly famous for their chicken fried steaks) are scrimping on quality cuts of meat these days, this is NOT the case at Nelson's. Nelson's consistently churns out the absolute BEST chicken fried steak in Tulsa and IMO, the state of Oklahoma. Period. You know what else they have the best of in the state? Fried chicken (Wednesdays only) and catfish (Fridays only). The mashed potatoes and gravy are always on point, as well as their other sides, mac and cheese, cabbage, green beans, etc. Even the garden salad with ranch is delish. Crisp and fresh, with just enough tomatoes and onions.The pies are always awesome, as well as their chocolate cake. The servers, owners, cashier, and line help are all wonderful, friendly and kind.
