Cute coffee shop, our coffee was really good, the service was great and our barista was friendly. Definitely recommend. We loved sitting and enjoying our coffee.

I really enjoyed the vibe of the coffee shop! I came in with my sister to chat & work on some things on my iPad. There was plenty of seating for that kind of meet up. It’s a small space but did not feel crowded. The owner was super sweet and knowledgeable! Coffee was great & I love that it can be served in regular mugs like you’re drinking it at home.

I was so disappointed. Ordered a basic latte with oat milk. It tasted like frothed oatmilk. No coffee. ?

Hello on Saturday morning this place is a nightmare..U walk in the lady making coffe does not even acknowledge you…3 more people walk in nobody knows who is in line or who has ordered anything….INSANE absolutely oblivious customer service. And the barista will just sits there and acts like she did not just see me or second person walk in so the third or last person walks right to the counter and gets served HORRIBLE do not recommend very very arrogant tik toc brain and they never ever have change EVER but no sign sayin card only.Would have given 0 stars if I could.

As I drove around town with a sleeping baby this morning, looking for a place to grab breakfast, I was shocked to realize I had never noticed this spot before!Everything, from the kids’ play area upstairs, to the lettering and hand-drawn flowers on the specials sign, to the thickness and quality of the cups, showed thoughtfulness and care.I got a latte and a danish, and was happy with my choices.Overall, a downtown gem that deserves more recognition!

Great spot for studying with a decent amount of seats. I also like that they have an upper-level. The music was a bit loud though. Service was okay, the barista was a bit distracted when we came in. There were a lot of fall specialty drinks. I had their French Toast latte. It was okay, the coffee had a bit of a burnt taste to it. Still, I do like this coffee shop, we would come back.

Nice spot and friendly baristas but the coffee was very bad. We really wanted to like it but we just had to throw out our drinks. We got a latte, maple latte and cold brew, but everyone agreed that it was no good. The coffee had a strange aftertaste and we wouldn't recommend.

Wow! This place is so cute. Upon entering I felt welcomed and couldn't help but admire the wall art. I was visiting from out of town wanting a good yummy coffee. I decided to go with the fall menu item the French toast with oatmilk. The coffee was perfect taste between sweetness, and espresso. Would definitely return! :)

When I want to go to a coffee shop this is the perfect vibe to have. Very relaxed and low key. There's a really cool upstairs lounge if you want to brave the stairs. As a former Seattle resident, this reminded me of the local coffee shop back home. The coffee itself had plenty of flavor. If you want to avoid a corporate coffee place like a Starbucks, this is a great location.

We just moved to the area from Nashville, and coffee is very important to us. So many great shops where we came from, and we’ve been looking for the shop that has the trifecta - great coffee, great service, and great atmosphere. Every other shop we have checked out has been missing a piece of that. Some have great service but then the espresso is so dark, and lacking any real flavor except “roasty.” Some have delicious coffee, but the service is almost non-existent.Sona most definitely has delicious coffee. I visited yesterday on my birthday, and I told my wife I thought it was either single Guatemala or predominantly so. One of the baristas confirmed this. Coffees roasted medium from this region make for tasty espresso. Not overly complex, but I’d rather have that in a pour over. Smooth. Inviting. Easy to drink. The only downside is the shop is about 20 minutes away so I can’t visit every day, but when I am up for the drive, I’m going to Sona.

This place is worth the visit!!! The Vanilla Latte is delicious! I am definitely coming back again to try the other items in the menu.

Soma is a quiet coffee place on 1st Street, hidden in between Detroit and Elgin. Cozy, charming and lots of fun details sprinkled all over the place. We ordered cappuccinos and they were milky, not bitter. If you are more of a stronger cap person, just ask for extra shots. The hit of this place is the atmosphere. The comfiest seating? A cushy pew right in front of the bar! The middle column is a wood work of art that will get your attention from the moment you step in. The coupe de grace is the upstairs seating. It’s cute, secluded enough for a private conversation but keeps you connected with the rest of the location via the opening views. The upstairs has a bit of a hum background- I assume it’s furnace or something- so if you are super sensitive just be aware. I am and it actually served as a nice background to cover my conversation from anyone else’s ears. Parking is in front and around the block. We went on a Sunday and it was a pleasant, easy experience. Fellow bookworms, ambiverts, introverts or people looking for something inspiring to see, behold!Kid-friendliness: Toys upstairsParking: It’s downtown so what can I say? Part of the adventure is to walk! Find parking somewhere and walk. It’s worth it!

No one likes hotel room coffee...which is why we always search out a local cafe wherever we stay. This cute little spot is around the corner from a decent hotel and serves up tradiational coffee and espresso along with a some flavorful specialy drinks.
