This has been on our list for a while now. Tulsa has the best hidden restaurants.. this one is literally hidden in an alley. We shared the Porterhouse and the potatoes. Steak was cooked to perfection, very delicious. We want to come back for drinks and desserts.. the desserts are HUGE!!!!

ROACHES!!! One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve been to Bull tons of times over the years and this expensive restaurant has significantly declined. The bartender who’s taken care of me at least 7-8 times is ALWAYS rude always has an attitude, always is passive aggressive and yet still expectant of standard gratuity???? Big guy with glasses, I think his name is Wess. Once he’s waited on me and he literally wreaked of B.O. and was STILL being rude and making passive aggressive comments. This time was pretty much the same, he was passive aggressive to us and literally scoffed in our faces when I shared my taste of wine with my guests because we were selecting a bottle and I wanted their opinion. I’ve been told by multiple other people that on multiple occasions he’s been rude to them. We saw a roach on the floor when we walked in and I mentioned it to the manager but had a difficult time getting his attention because he was literally drunk and hanging all over the piano player making him play along with songs he was showing him on YouTube on his phone. We ordered a med rare steak that came out well done and was plated and walked to the bar placed before us and at no point did anyone stop it from hitting the table due to it being clearly overcooked because it was sliced to share so you could see it was very obviously well done and when I mentioned it to the bartender he got an attitude and said “I guess I can get you another one.” They fixed the steak which was much better then as we’re eating it ANOTHER ROACH crawled on to the bar right towards my guest’s plate. We were completely over it at this point. The manager (still drunk) intervened and took care of the meal but the damage was done. He was apologetic and was explaining how they’ve been trying to get ahead of the roach problem (obviously not very well based on the other reviews that mention bugs) and the bartender (again with a very aggressive attitude) exclaimed “when it’s embedded, it’s embedded!” Referring to the roach infestation. I guess thank you for letting us know the place is infested? During all of this back and forth the manager kept slapping the bartender’s butt. It was the most bizarre experience I’ve had at a restaurant. But it seems like employees are far too comfortable, lost all desire to maintain professionalism and have zero oversight. Mcnellies do better!

All good, great food, super great staff, it’s a little dark for my taste, but that is my opinion only, location is very particular for those from out of town. Look for the blue dumpster.

Too high for a porterhouse. Ambiance and service was exceptional. Food wasn't any better than other high end steak houses.

We had the seafood tower and table steak. This was our 3rd trip and it never disappoints.... the only downside was sitting at the table next to swinging door.

Visited about a year ago, and I was impressed! The lighting is very dim, gives a romantic feel, and the food was AMAZING! The steak we got was literally melting in our mouths. So good, and yes it's pricey but for a live piano player, great service, amazing wine, and the food. It was by far worth it - very good place for celebrating special events or if you just have the budget for this kind of place on the regular!

I got norovirus from their overpriced ($85?!) and oversalted skirt steak (which may explain why it was so oversalted and hyped up by the bartender). If that isn't enough reason to avoid this place, I'd advise not sitting at the bar unless you want to hear a bunch of middle-aged scummy bartenders talk about their disgusting lives. My gem of a bartender took turns bragging about living in Vietnam for several years just to hook up with younger Asian women half his age and telling antiquated masturbation jokes you'd expect to hear from some hack comic in the 1990s. I will say it's got a nice ambiance and the appetizer portions are plentiful. But considering this place is in Tulsa and not a major metro city, the prices are abysmal and not anywhere near the quality that would justify paying them. Avoid this place along with all the other McNellie's-associated places and support better local businesses with better prices and less-contaminated food.

Nice, elegant, speakeasy environment with great food. However the menu is very very small in the sense of what you can order. In a way I like that.As for location if you like the downtown New York style location and having the homeless help you find your way there, then this is a great spot to try for first timers.

The hostess was rude and unwelcoming. I left without being seated. She was already scrolling on her iPhone before I made it out the door a few steps away.

Ambiance was nice, it's quiet and lights are dim. Went in as last minute decision without reservation and got seated at the bar. Caesar salad was amazing. Table steak had multiple types of cut, some parts were tender some parts were not as expected and they cooked the medium rare on point. Sides were big enough to share, makes it worth for the price in my opinion.

Ok, not looking to dog the place, but I've eaten at far too many places to know what a descent steak is, a good one is and definitely a great one. Luckily, the following night after this, I was in OKC and had a fantastic steak, for about 40% of the price and it redeemed all steakhouses in Oklahoma! Now, as far as the Bull goes, I love the concept. I loved the décor and the ambiance. I sat at the enormous bar and enjoyed my time and the service was fantastic! I would definitely come back and enjoy the bar and experience! Please hear me on that, as I'm not so disappointed I would not return, PLUS, the people were great! Now food wise, while I don't know much about Tulsa, so this may indeed BE the best steakhouse in Tulsa, it is far from a good steak and the cost was outlandish (given what I was served). I have eaten steaks at this price before, but that was in big cities like LA and Chicago and obviously still did pay this price in Tulsa, but I surely expected out of this world food. This should NOT have been the case for Tulsa. They have two offers for steak . . . a filet, which I assume is for one person, at like $55 and then the porterhouse, which I assume is for two (or one me I guess) and is $115. First and foremost, never ever ever EVER cut my steak for me. Personally, I don't feel like you should EVER cut a steak (until ready to eat of course), and I don't care if people are sharing it. But most definitely, at the very least, if it is just for one person, you need to ask! But either way, this cut of meat was neither a great cut, nor was it cooked well. I can't necessarily tell all the issues with this steak, but I am not sure they let it rest before or after the cooking process, but really, given the poor cooking technique, there may have been no resurrecting this anyway. The chef honestly has no idea what "searing" means and actually burned one side of my meat . . . and I got it medium rare, so not the easiest thing to do. There really are some easy tips I can share . . . but that hardly makes me special . . . google is your best friend. Honestly, I should have known earlier. I saw bacon as an app and figure they do it good. The cut of bacon WAS nice and I think it would have tasted great, but again . . . it was burned. Cooking bacon is NOT about speed people, come on. What I worry about with this restaurant is not about their desire, but about their execution. The chef may indeed know how to cook theoretically, but I seriously question the passion and love of it. The bacon was $5 . . . so I'm not complaining about price, but in reality, make it 2 pieces for $13, and actually put some soul into it and it would be the star of the town. A lack of understanding of searing of steaks and personally, you should NOT even be attempting them until you do . . . at any price. I can not and would not recommend eating here to anyone, but can for the bar and the experience. Sorry Tulsa, if this is the best, you're selling yourself short . . .and paying a lot for it.

My favorite dinner stops when I am in town. From the piano bar to the food, EVERYTHING is 5stars. Love the atmosphere & service. It is small and quaint so get there early or if solo just eat at the bar and meet people. (Great smokey Ole Fashion) I can not say enough as I have not had a bad experience in over a dozen visits. Highly recommend.
