“This review was originally posted on Yelp Jun 23, 2022, by me Spike Speewell.I had driven by Nate’s Diner many times, and every time I thought who the heck eats “Diner Food?”Nate said he realized that the Mexican food selections he offered, were more in demand than the typical “Diner Food” selections on his menu. So, he painted the house red, dedicated the menu to Mexican food and changed the sign out front to “Rojas Authentic Mexican Food” It worked! It drew my wife and I in for a meal. Rojas operates in a cool, properly repurposed, historical home built in 1909!My wife went with the Burrito Chili Verde. A large burrito filled with lean delicious pork covered with Rojas special tomatillo sauce. Very good!I had trouble making up my mind. The very nice waitress offered some suggestions, pointing out their most popular offerings, and noted that today “Thursday’s Special” (and every Thursday) was Rojas Tacos. (Aka. Red tacos and Birria de Res). Red Tacos seem to be the latest rage at all of the cutting-edge Oklahoma Mexican Restaurants. Never had it. What better time than now. Plentiful chunks of lean beef in the red dipped tacos, the right amount of spice for a great flavor and tasty beef stew for dipping. There was a small cup of house made tomatillo salsa on the side, that blended so perfectly with all the flavors. This is a great two or three napkin meal and I am glad I tried it at Rojo’s first!Nate and staff very friendly, give Rojas a try. Both meals, fresh, hot and delicious. We liked it!Note: Check the pictures for more descriptions of the food and the current menu.Bonus! Spikes Inessential Commentary: I recently read a review somewhere, for Rojas Authentic Mexican, written by an expert foodie from the land of Del Taco. The astute reviewer stated that “the salsa was watery.” Hmmmmm. Well, it is a liquid…. The salsa is not watery! Get back in the car and keep on driving. This the land of delicious Oklahoma Mexican Food.”
“Always worth the 10 hour drive once a year from Chicago! Love the food, freshness and taste. Always friendly staff! Add a extra pulled pork sandwich for the drive to Dallas! Yummy!”
“Went in to sit down and eat inside and ordered a calzone and cheese pizza. Food was so great! Staff was super nice and the restaurant was super clean. Thank you also for making this location accessible for a walker to get through, made my husband feel comfortable walking through with it.”
“I just love that Ron's open face chili cheese burgers they're chili taste great always no matter what store I'm in the Tulsa metro area I can guarantee it's the same thing french fries are awesome but wish they had a 1/4 size of fries. I can't eat a regular size of fries just tooo big. Love the ”
“Awesome food! Haven't had anything that wasn't cooked perfectly. Catfish, chicken fried steak, smash burgers, chicken strip it's all fantastic and fresh!Kid-friendliness: Kids meal came in a cardboard hot rod that my son still plays with.”
“Excellent Mexican food for the Midwest. The enchiladas and Chile relleno were amazing. They make their own sauce (red sauce) and the micheladas didn't disappoint. Great service!!”
“If you are looking for some good fried chicken, this is the place to go in Wagoner! It is always cooked to order, hot fresh and seasoned well. Add a little honey and it is perfection! You can tell it is a family owned restaurant, the waitresses treat you as family, and are always on top of it. They are a small but mighty crew. The cobbler is a must too!!”
“I absolutely Love this place. The girl at the front counter has the coolest personality, and the cook is extremely fast. The food is great, and the pork egg rolls and sauce are so addictive. I usually get about 4 for myself. I will return as often as possible!”
“I have had their coffee, their breakfast, their lunch all of it has been fantastic... The place is always clean a very, very nicely decorated, low-key calm environment. The wait staff is great haven't had a bad experience very attentive. The owner has great energy, always smiling, very sweet. Would highly recommend.”
“We loved Juan's food at his old location, it was lighter & less greasy/oily than other Mexican restaurants. At this new location we weren't disappointed. In addition to the great food & service we've come to expect, the authenticity of the food actually improved. Even the tortilla chips aren't the thin ones you get from the store, but ones that are robust & full of flavor & stand up will to queso & guacamole! We'll be back.”
“I grew up in North Carolina, as deep into Chicken Country as you can get. I've traveled far and wide, eaten a mountain of chicken - Charlie's is as good as any takeout fried chicken I have eaten. The sides are good and varied. The service has been good every time I've visited (I'm retired and make it a point not to eat at rush hour). I'm scratching my noggin that there are low reviews for Charlie's on this site.”
“We moved from San Diego to Broken Arrow to be near Family. Have tried a couple of Mexican Spots and let's just say, we travel to Eddys for a Great Reason over and over and over again.Stellar Service across the Board.”
“Food was okay, queso was runny, the burger was bland. The service was great and the atmosphere was great. The price didn't equate to the quality of food. Granted I bought the 15 dollar burger not the 25 dollar a plate meals.”
“Very good hamburger they cooked it fresh for us and the onion rings are amazing. This is definitely a place you should check out at least once and if you live close by put it on your rotation of restaurants I would eat here everyday if I live closer.”

“Love it, just what we wanted. Home town feels plus great food. The fried okra was simply wonderful. Oh yeah, and the BBQ. My husband got the loaded baked potato, and will get it again next time we drive through Wagoner.”
