Went to this restaurant after a little kids football game with my grandkids. The waitress said they were out of coke, then we ordered tea, they were out of tea. We saw some toys on a table next to the bathroom area, my 2 year old granddaughter wanted to play with one of the toys (garage sale type toy - plastic little house). We asked our waitress if we could play with this toy and she said yes as long as we put it back when we left. Of course, we replied. Then an older waitress came along not two minutes later and said, those toys are NOT for the customers. She was very rude. Needless to say we left before ordering. There are many fine restaurants in Yukon - this isn’t one of them.

The waitress barely acknowledged mine and my husbands presence. When she finally came to us it was very short and she didn’t even look over at us. She was not very nice. She acted very inconvenienced by us even though there were 10 more people in the place that she was laughing with. Bad vibes.

I’m sorry to have to leave such a low review on this place due to the very friendly staff and excellent service, however nothing has ever had me glued to a toilet more than the breakfast from here.

We were very underwhelmed by Mae's. When we first entered there was a musty/moldy scent to the air. The waitress was very nice but the overall service was poor. It took us 45 minutes to receive our food and when it did come it was wrong. They actually offered to bring my missing food but what they brought was so bad that I didn't even want it. I can't recommend Mae's to anyone.

I ordered Loaded baked potato. The baked potato was microwaved, with a slice of American imitation cheese, with Hormel chili poured over it. The skin was thick and tough. The wife ordered a Lucy juicy burger and was supposed to have cheese in the middle... It must of cooked out. We witnessed an older lady just giving another waitress a tongue lashing, right in the dining room... Very unprofessional. Poor service, poor food, won't be back.

After waiting 40 mins, we left. It wasn't that busy. The first thing the waitress said was "hope you're not in a hurry." The place is dated, which is okay, but the random, weird, religious hate speech on the back, talking bad about the Celts, etc. You can have your own beliefs and not advertise hateful beliefs. Strange.We only had a Diet coke, and it tasted awful. Won't be back...mainly because if the rhetoric on their menu. Odd.

Worst food ever. Ordered a chocolate milk and it was like chocolate water. Awful food pancake tasted like grits. Everything was undone. Awful need to close down.

I would give this place a 2.5 stars. The food was edible but nothing fantastic. Ordered breakfast had overcooked browned scrambled eggs under cooked hashbrowns that I even asked to be well done bacon that was ok and biscuits and gravy. I would ask for the gravy on the side as it made the biscuit very mushy
This is a good old fashioned diner with good cheap food and nice people. You go in and seat yourself and a server will come to you.. The interior design and menu is themed like a jungle and its really festive and fun! Definitely a better atmosphere and better food than Jimmy's Egg or IHOP.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but in this case I just have to be honest. We decided to try something different for breakfast this morning and found this diner that we had never heard of. When we first walked in the place had a musty smell, which is fine, some places are old. We sat ourselves and a teenage boy came to take our drink order. He seemed extremely annoyed that we were there, not friendly at all. We tried to order diet soda and the boy seemed confused stating that they don't carry diet anything. That made me giggle a little but okay, we went ahead and ordered something different. The menu stated 3 egg omelets which is what I ordered. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito with hash browns. I wish I would have taken a picture because our order was nothing like they describe in the menu. My omelet was definitely a one egg omelet. The egg was thin like paper. It was the size of a usual child omelete and was extremely dry. My husband's burrito was more like two roll ups. They were all tortilla and hardly anything inside of them. The "burritos" were also extremely dry. There were barely any hash browns on his plate, literally probably four bites worth. Our waitress was very unfriendly as well and was not attentive to our needs at all.. This was the worst breakfast experience we have ever had. We will definitely never be back.

Being new to the area i wanted to a mom & pop restaurant.....going to MAES i wasnt disappointed. Very friendly people, the food was delicious. Highly recommend will be going back again soon.

We opted to try something different. Waitress was unsmiling & unfriendly. She brought our drinks, took our order & after 30 minutes didn't return. Many tables dirty, poor service. The elderly woman at the next table was very friendly. We did not stay for the food. We will not return.
