The desserts in their menu are loafs written as slices in their menu. Its 2 dollars for carrot cake loaf not slice

My family and I all had the fish and chips. The batter was nice and crispy, and the meal was not greasy. Overall a great meal. The staff are really friendly. The best service I I've had in a long time.

I just ordered Halibut and chips. The size of my halibut is a joke for $19. I will never visit this restaurant ever again. Such a scam. It is prepared it in the back, wrapped it up and put it in the bag. And the tarter sauce is to laugh at. A 1 out of 10 and I haven't eaten any

This is a fake Captain John's fish and chips. A donut store morphed into a fish place. Don't be fooled.

Halibut is fresh and batter is crispy, I found the portion reasonable, prices are high due to market costs. Definitely worth a stop, just be aware that you're in south Ajax.

Our first time eating here! The haddock and chips were awesome and we would definitely come here again! The batter on the fish wasn't too heavy and the fish tasted fresh. The chips were thick cut and not really salted. It didn't really need salt with the classic condiments it comes with. The tartar sauce was good and it was nice that it was made in house. The service was fast and the person working was very nice and friendly. I love the vintage light fixtures they have inside. It was a much bigger space inside than I expected! Would definitely recommend you try this place out!

An excellent Good Friday meal. Halibut was superb with lots of fries. Plenty of food to feed 5 adults. Will definitely go back!!!Kid-friendliness: Kid specific menuParking: Lots of parking

Good friday dinner, order 5 fish & 3 fries, I feel if your ordering 5 fish then tarter sauce should be enough for 5 fish, only received 2 small containers enough for 2 PC fish.Ordered a large coleslaw and it was enough for 1 person . Wasn't very impressed .

Everything was prepared to perfection! Fresh and made to order, the fish and chips meal was perfect.Reasonable prices alongside a very nostalgic ambience. What more can you ask for!

Went to this place on Good Friday. I’m rating this place 5 stars even before receiving my order because the team deserves a medal for dealing with one of the rudest customers I’ve ever seen: KYLE. I heard his name loud and clear because he made a huge deal out of having to say it “4 times because you can’t even speak English!” KYLE was extremely rude to the cashier who was trying her very best to deal with a significant crowd of customers, but he was more than rude to the gentleman from the kitchen, who came out to speak with him, that’s when KYLE demonstrated that not only is he an a*****e, but a racist (the fact that Kyle was practicing an age old tradition of eating fish on Good Friday suggests he’s a Christian too…interpret as you wish!). KYLE was upset because his pre-ordered meal wasn’t ready at precisely 5:00, but instead was in-hand by 5:15, after the staff scrambled to accommodate him. For what it’s worth, my order was requested for 5pm too, but because I am a reasonable human being, I expect to wait for fish and chips on Good Friday, just as I would have to wait to see Santa on December 20. To KYLE and all of the other customers of the world: be kind! Give people in the service industry a break for crying out loud.As for the meal, great halibut, not overly battered, but just right!
