The service was amazing, I felt it when I called for the reservation, and continued throughout the ordering and the meals. The food tasted fresh and extremely delicious, everything was tasty, we had Mansaf (see photo ?)We were actually fasting so had not eaten all day and the staff made sure to bring our food at the perfect time.I would recommend this place to anyone want to try Authentic Arabic cuisine.

Laymoon shines with its BBQ offerings! The whole chicken is succulent, and the mixed plate is a flavorful journey. I really have enjoyed my time there. Thanks Laymoon

Absolutely enjoyed my visit to this gem! The manskesh was delightfully authentic, bursting with flavor, and the chicken shawarma plate was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. A must-visit for anyone craving top-notch middle eastern restaurant.

I hsed to be a big fan since they first opened and have been there many times. However last few times, the shawarma meat was really old and burnt. They're just refrying old food and they might as well call it beef or chicken jerky. The salad was old and rotten. Imagine ordering a family iftar and bringing everyone together to serve them old and rotten food. Not to mention no bread was provided at all. What a joke.

My wife and I were eager to savor some Middle Eastern cuisine, so we decided to try Laymoon based on its high ratings on Google. However, what unfolded was perhaps the most disappointing dining experience I've ever encountered in my whole life. It's baffling how this restaurant garnered such acclaim! We arrived promptly at 12:00 PM, the restaurant's opening time, and there was nobody other than us in there. After a considerable wait, someone finally emerged to seat us and hand over the menus. Our order comprised of falafel, shawarma wraps, extra French fries, and a salad. The arrival of our food marked the beginning of our frustrations. The fries, served on a single plate, were a mix of hot and cold portions, indicating a lack of freshness and care in preparation. Despite being the restaurant's first customers of the day, it seemed the chef had simply reheated leftovers from the previous night's batch, a disappointing oversight and most probably unhealthy practice that could cause illness to people.Quietly and politely, I approached the counter to address the issue with the waitress. She assured me it would be resolved. However, upon their return, the same fries were merely reheated in the oil, rendering them excessively greasy.Another glaring issue was the lack of basic tableware. Cutlery was absent upon our arrival and remained so when our food was served. Despite our inquiries, no effort was made to rectify the oversight, leaving us to eat with our fingers, including the salad!Additionally, our request for beverages was met with confusion. While my wife ordered a soft drink, I requested tap water, a customary offering in Canadian restaurants. However, we were presented with a bottle of water and no glasses. When questioned, the explanation provided - that it was restaurant policy - seemed incongruous with Canadian dining norms and a custom from the Middle East where people can't drink tap water due to contamination. The water was over priced and it occurred to me that this was a trick to claim more money for the restaurant, a money that could have been saved just by following Canadian dining norms.Disappointed by the overall experience, I requested to speak with the manager. The manager appeared briefly, avoiding direct interaction and offering no resolution. After a long wait, the waitress requested our phone numbers and assured of a callback. To date, no such communication ensued. In summary, my visit to Laymoon was marred by subpar food quality, unhealthy practices, inadequate service, and a lack of professionalism. I regret not heeding similar negative reviews and caution others to reconsider before dining at this place. My experience was anything but satisfactory, and I won't be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone.

Everything was good! ?Just one feedback, you should serve tap water, people shouldn't have to buy water.

Food was really good... Nothing to complain about at all. However nowhere does it mention this place has shisha as well. The air quality was very bad. Finally what really frustrated me is that they do not serve regular tap water and they force people to buy bottled water. I believe if they choose to serve bottled water, they need to provide it for free or at least have that as an option. Wondering if this method is even legal.

Food was excellent. Improvements should be made to prevent a major draft of air when the door opens. Service was good but there were some missed items. I’ll be back for

The culinary offerings at this establishment are truly remarkable, providing an authentic representation of Middle Eastern cuisine. The ambiance is characterized by a relaxed and informal atmosphere, which is reflective of the cultural heritage of the region. It is truly a gem in the Durham region.

If you are a Sheesh/Hookkah lover, then this is the place for you. The best Sheesha i have had in Canada so far. I have taken Blueberry Mint flavour and it was the smmothest sheesh i had. Me and my wife had the best time there. I have taken Black tea with mint which was top notch and my wife has taken lemon mint. According to her it was really tasty. The server Phillipns (if i am not wrong with the name) was a freindly guy his behaviour was 100. The manager was really humble and he has given us 2 Bakhlava which was on the house. The environment was absolutely amazing. It was full house with full of fun loving and beautiful people around us. There were 3 birthday celebrations, and each and every single person was dancing with the birthday song. In total we had best 2 hours there. I will definitely visit there againand again.

Worst food and juice(the ashta in it was probably expired).. if you don't pay a tip for the shish guy he wouldn't even come and ask you if you want more charcoal. Worst middle eastern food and not even close to middle eastern.
