Hello Sushi & Maki,It's one thing to serve good sushi and another to have customer service and respect. Ever heard of don't judge a book by its cover?~ Would you appreciate a dining experience where you are Not initially served cutlery because the waiter assumes that you are unable to use them properly? And also have the audacity to tell you that you are accustomed to chop sticks, so why would you need cutlery?~ Would you appreciate having the wait staff/Manager sit directly behind your table while you ate? The only time they removed themselves was when a south Asian guest joined the table?~ Would you want to spend your money at a restaurant whose staff does not Respect you, nor have the common decency to be polite hosts?~ Would you appreciate not being able to digest your food and being prompted to pay your bill 2-3 times in advance, while still eating your meal?~ Would you support such a business in your community if they did not respect you?Regardless of the interactions that you may have had with other BIPOC customers, you may try NOT assuming that they are all are ill-behaved and ignorant. Proper Customer Service does not encompass behaving according to your prejudices. One of the wonderful things about Ajax and Durham Region is the diversity of its residents. Take a walk around the neighbourhood or support local teams/events. Try having conversations with people YOU feel uncomfortable with or are unfamiliar with. If that does not interest you, you have the freedom to resituate your business.Have a good day.

Poorest customer service due to the facts that they showed no courtesy nor respect, sat at nearby table and stared while eating, didn't provide a chop stick stating that we would not know how to use, prompted to pay several times while eating. Made atmosphere as uncomfortable as they could for boys of colour. That superseded the quality of the food.

I can't believe an AYCE place has sushi and sashimi this good. Okay okay, I'm a snob sometimes, but this place REALLY impressed us. Everything came out quickly and all of it was good. Like, really good. Like, "order ten more pieces of salmon ASAP" good. Even when one of our diners spilled some soup, the servers were so sweet and came over right away to clean it up. The service was great and it had a nice relaxed atmosphere. I can't wait to go back.
