We had Afternoon Tea here a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it. The price point is VERY low ($25 per person) so it was a nice change of pace from the expensive hotel tea experiences. This is a very small cafe so reserve in advance if you want a table for afternoon tea. The sandwiches were fresh and the sweets were made in-house or locally. The scone was the best bite; delicious! We were sad that there was no clotted cream here for the scone but we did add-on one lemon curd (+ $2.50) which was a nice touch. Would recommend they add Clotted Cream for an additional charge too, to eat with the lovely scones: it's a quintessential part of afternoon tea. Service was "just okay" when we went and could be improved. Overall, this was a nice inexpensive afternoon tea experience .

I don't get how they've got all their awards.Stuff was rude and unhelpful. I had to repeat my order 4 times. They asked me to switch the table even though the place was half empty. They also ask people if they have reservations ( again, at a half empty place).Deserts tasted like it's made of premixed box, cheap and chemical taste. Coffee is mediocre. Nothing i saw or tried at this place looked or tasted good. Surprisingly terrible experience, Almonte deserves better.

My sister, Ria and I had lunch at the Tea & Cake on Jan 18/24 and we thoroughly enjoyed the environment, service, and food. We definitely recommend this unique shop to anyone.

Tea and cake made our Christmas dinner this year, for 7. It was delicious and there were leftovers, because of the generous servings of everything: turkey (light and dark! meat), roasted vegetables, real mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy. Excellent! And of course dessert was marvellous: pecan pie and gingerbread cake. I am grateful they offered this dinner, we all were.

Nice little tea room with very good sandwiches and salads. Good choice of teas. The place was busy at lunchtime, so we were glad to have made a reservation. Service was a tiny bit slow because of the crowd, but very attentive and friendly. Worth a visit!

Recently we had a bridal shower party, and the bride requested a high tea type of party. I decided to have Tea and Cake cater the party for me to make things a bit easier. They were very responsive during the process and very patient with my loads of questions.I had asked specifically if the high afternoon tea ordered for 7 adults (there were 6 of us and the bride had a different plate of food) would be enough food. They responded with a yes and there would be leftovers.I was very disappointed after spending all of that money to find out that we didn't have enough - that didn't even include the brides own separate plate of gluten free items. The rest of us were left with very little sandwiches etc. I ended up having to cut up vegetables to somewhat fill in the gap. We were all left hungry after. They also forgot the tea for the party but mentioned they would leave me a GC for the mistake - which I thought was kind.I sent an email to the woman I was conversing with previous to the party address the lack of food and very dry mini cupcakes.I have not heard back unfortunately. For the money I spent and what we got.. . I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Friendly service, and delicious food on the menu. Today's special is a turkey pot pie - the filling is fantastic and the pastry is perfect. The rest of the party had sandwiches and soup, and they are all wonderful - fresh with great flavor.

Was doing some laundry at the laundromat and decided to walk over to grab a couple sandwiches for take out while we waited. Server was nice enough but the two sandwiches and a diet coke came to over 27 dollars...I had to keep going back and forth because it took a half an hour for them to get them ready. The place was extremely warm inside. My glasses were fogging up! Sandwiches were tasty though!
