We ordered Jim's Bacon Cheeseburger which was really quite good. The patty is fresh ground beef which was well seasoned, simple toppings, on a fresh bun. The fries seemed to be fresh cut also, these were a little under seasoned but easily fixed by adding your own shake of salt. We had a side of gravy which was quite good too. (There are other hamburgers on the menu, these are cooked from frozen, I'd recommend getting the Jim's hamburger over the other one)The service was good, they were friendly and helpful. Everything arrived at our table quickly and hot with a smile from our friendly server.Jim's Restaurant will deliver on a classic diner experience if you are looking for that. The front to the restaurant is set up with a bunch of booths in sight of the kitchen and the front counter. It looks like there is extra seating at the back with tables and chairs. You can hear the kitchen staff working and servers bringing up orders. Overall a good experience, there are not many restaurants like this anymore. The price vs portion size is great, you get good value for your money here.We will be going back for sure. Next time to try the cheesecake, we have heard very good things about it and I like dessert.

It's your basic small town diner. Expect to see the staff greeting people by name as they walk in. Standard small town diner food as well, solid, dependable. I got the breakfast and was pleased to receive it quickly and hot. I would've appreciated perhaps one less sausage in return for more home fries, but that's probably just me. The eggs were cooked as I ordered, the sausages sizzling, and homefries were great. The coffee was pretty dismal, but in that way that adds to the greasy spoon experience, you don't resent it in the moment, it feel right. You know what I mean. It felt a bit expensive, but that's breakfast these days. I went on my birthday, I think I'd like to repeat that next year.Parking: I parked between the restaurant and Giant tiger, no idea who's lot it it, don't care.Wheelchair accessibility: Imagine my shock when some grinning little old woman started banging on my window from her wheelchair. Apparently this is how she let's the staff know she wants in, or she was just razzing them. I dunno. But there is a wheelchair ramp, I can't say if the doors are electric or not.

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. The place was almost completely empty at 5 pm. Obviously, our server was at the table in seconds and was very friendly. I decided on Jim's cheeseburger platter, and my girlfriend ordered their fish and chip platter. Both were excellent! We both left full and happy. The only major problem was I ordered a beer to go along with my dinner, and I was promptly brought a 355 ml can. How can they justify $6.95 for a 355 ml can is beyond me. But then it got worse as I looked over our bill, and a mysterious $0.90 bar tax appeared! So now a $6.95 can of beer turned into a $7.85 can of beer. So, just a warning! Don't get a beer with dinner unless you don't mind paying 4 times what it's worth. Other than that, the service was good. The food was good. Prices for both meals were reasonable.
