Wonderful pub to visit. We enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Desserts were overly sweet, so I wouldn't order them if we visit again

Really cozy place, their fish and chips is the best we've had so far. They are a scratch kitchen so the fish is battered and fried per order! Definitely gonna try their bison burger next time we go.

We eat out OFTEN, and are always looking for new places to add to our rotation. I wanted the Lumbertown Ale House to be one of those places - but I was left wanting. Our meals were kinda “meh”(the pulled pork flavourless and more sauce than meat / the coleslaw barely dressed). The service here was sadly lacking. We were brought our food, and that is the last we saw of our waitress. We ran out of napkins, we ran out of drinks, we finished a bit of our food and then sat for over 30 minutes before one of us finally went to the washroom and requested the bill (we’d given up on the idea of dessert and coffee at this point). The waitress was standing at the bar on her phone - then seemed miffed that we were leaving more than half of our rice ball appetizer (thick, mushy and unpleasant) and more than half of the pulled pork. We didn’t asking for a break on the bill - or even complain - we just wanted to leave.I’ll be honest, I checked out other reviews prior to writing this one. Had I seen the previous review regarding how a female patron was treated - I honestly would never have stepped through the door of this place to begin with.

Had a fantastic lunch here on St. paddy’s day! Buffalo chicken wrap with fries was on special and it was fantastic. We also had the house brew (lumbertown lager) and really enjoyed it.

We stopped in for a round of drinks. They had a lot of variety and great craft beers. The kiwi sour beer was awesome!

We stopped in for lunch on Sunday, and we were 8 ppl. We had a reservation, and our table was all set. We all, but one, ordered the Craft Beer battered fish and chips, The fish was excellent. The chips could have been cooked a little more, but no one complained. We ordered a big plate of nachos, we shared, and they were fantastic. I think we could have eaten 2 of these, lol. My niece had the special of the day, which was gnocchi, which was made from small potatoes and a fennel sauce, and she loved it. I was most impressed with our server. When we arrived we were the 2nd group to come in, we all looked at our menus and ordered, as we were doing this, the Lumbertown started to fill up pretty fast, and the lone server managed to seat serve deliver everyone's food and drinks hand our bills without missing a beat. I was impressed, and I mentioned this to her. One person served probably over 40 ppl. Awesome, great job! In short, food was excellent, and the service excellent, washrooms were very clean. I'll be back to eat here again and try other dishes I hear are worth trying out. Cheers!Parking: There is plenty of street parking free, plus a lot to park in across from Lumbertown.
