Quick service, had to wait a little bit longer for our food but it came out hot and exactly as ordered. Same outcome three times but worth the wait.

We stopped in at the Barrie A&W on Bayfield Street. The teen burger was freshly cooked and HOT. The bacon wasn't raw but it wasn't burnt either. It was crispy cooked. The burger patty was NOT dripping grease. My friend's chicken strips were done nicely too as was her daughter's mama burger with cheese. Fries were cooked really nice too. Well done.

Really bad service. They don't care about Coustomers time we wait for our food more than 20 minutes after that they gave wrong oder. I prefer to go for other locations.

I have always loved A&W. Quality food at a good price. My dad would take us there and my two sisters were servers on roller skates. Do you remember them? Now I take my grandchildren. They love it too. The great taste is still there after all these years.

The food here was good and the restaurant is well kept and clean, the staff were very friendly and our food was made quite quick, I had a crispy chicken sandwich and it was really good, one of my favourite fast food places in Barrie The quality and freshness, free coffee refills, and a real egg and sausage patty on the breakfast sandwich makes this my goto quick breakfast location in Barrie. Staff were friendly and helpful!!

What’s the point of having a drive through if after 5 minutes of waiting for my food, I need to go and get it? Shut down the drive through or get more efficient.

On November 22, 2018, at 4:30 PM I stopped by this A&W to enjoy my usual order... Papa Burger, root beer and rings or fries. Now, over the years, one of the major draws regarding their Papa Burgers has been the full, usually thick, slice of onion they provide on the burgers. However, over the last couple years I've noticed that some of their outlets have begun to get a bit skimpy on the onion servings, so I'm in the habit now of specifically requesting they put a "nice, full, thick slice of onion" on my burger. And that's how this order went down as I detailed the rest of the meal to include onion rings and a small coffee (which they were out of, and seemed hesitant and ill-prepared to brew more, like as if they'd often heard about brewing coffee, but never really had to do it yet). Meanwhile, as I looked around while waiting for the order to be prepared, I was moderately surprised to see how the "edge" seemed to be coming off the store, appearance-wise. I know it's a "casual, fast-food" place officially, but this was looking so neglected as to be approaching "derelict". Displays were cracked, signs broken, junk left on the condiments table, napkin dispensers cruelly savaged, and a sheen of light dirt was evident in all the places nobody had bothered to dust for the last few years. (See included pics.) Anyway, the meal was finally prepared and I went to sit down and enjoy. And then... >disappointment!< The "big thick slice of onion" was missing entirely from my burger, replaced by a couple sadly depleted-looking short strands of onion that cowered at the edge of the bun and burger. (See included pics.)I went up to the desk and asked about having a "real slice of onion" put into the burger, and at THAT time they said they didn't HAVE any "slices", but they could give me more strands in a cup that I could layer onto the burger myself. (See pics for cup of strands.) So, now we're into "build-it-yourself-burgers", courtesy of A&W. Hmm.Anyway, I applied same, and it helped, but failed to dematerialize the growing sense of disappointment that was taking hold during this one short meal.I noted with interest the odd little orange "A&W" logo thingy rising off of the lid of my coffee cup at one point when I first brought it to the table. Only after pulling it out of the lid did I realize it was a clever top to a stir-stick. Hadn't seen THAT before. All in all, I usually give an A&W visit 5-out-of-5 stars. However, this awkward visit, with the unfulfilled order and general look of decay setting in about the rest of the building (like the manager'd gone away for two months and nobody was directing any general upkeep for the place) leaves me with just a "mediocre" feeling for ratings this time.[Also note: Google Maps' info bar on left side of screen (when you bring up this address) misidentifies this location as being in Georgian Mall. Wrong! That is a different A&W outlet!]

I waited in the drive thru for 10 mins the women kept saying I'll be with you in a min. There wasn't a single other person in the drive Thur and when I left (without food)there was no one in the store either. I've never been so annoyed at a fast food place before....
