Amazing food and service. Highly recommend checking this place out. Shrimp tacos, tortilla soup and the burrito are all my top choices so far.

Best Mexican food I have had outside of Mexico. I love traveling to Mexico for some of the items I was able to find deliciously made here. The servers give it a genuine Mexican feel, the decor is really nice and has little nods to Mexico. Very proud to make this review. We had plenty of flavourful corn tortillas, 4 meat and veg mixes and 3 different sauces to put on top, of varying spice levels.Would gladly come back. The price was right for the quality and value you get.

Disappointing, bland experience. My Dad and I had dinner at Cocina Mexicana last (Sunday) night; there were only 4 tables seated in the entire restaurant. When we walked in the door we were greeted by a friendly face and there was an authentic vibe to the environment. Our experience went downhill immediately after that:- the hot sauce trio served in 3 small glass bowls that comes with complimentary chips had leftover food in each glass bowl- our entrees were plated on plates that had old crusty food on the bottom of our plates- there was no followup-care to ensure we enjoyed our food at ANY point while we were eating our Green Enchiladas entrees. (The dry chicken and corn torts could have used some hot sauce or guac to give the dish some flavor!)- there was ZERO personal connection made from any staff that touched our table. Simple phrases like "have you been here before" or "any cravings you're hoping to have satisfied" or a simple "Hi! Welcome in!" would have gone a long way. But for a server to approach our table and their first words to us are "what would you like" was such a disappointing interaction.I wanted to love this place and I'm a huge advocate of second chances, but not one moment in our experience motivates me to visit Cocina Mexicana again.

Definitely the best place to enjoy a delicious 100% Mexican food near Toronto. We explored the flavors of Mexico, with tacos, quesadillas, pozole, suadero tacos and many more dishes. Excellent service and careful attention from Vero and Ricardo. We will return very soon.

After much anticipation, I finally went for dinner here. I sat at a table by the bar, and it took some time for a waitress to finally serve me. I went for all you can eat and ordered tacos and Caesar salad for start; 5 minutes later I was told that the salad is not included in the all you can eat menu. To be honest, the remainder of the meal was average to below average, using my previous Mexican food dining experiences. The chicken burritos, enchiladas and tachos all tasted much the same. The burritos and enchiladas were very soggy. I requested these to be very spicy and all were bland and void of flavour. After ordering the main course, I felt pretty much ignored. The only delicious item was the chocolate ice cream for dessert, but it wasn’t enough to redeem the meal experience. The meal and one beer totalled $65. I left feeling that this experience was significantly over priced.

The place is lovely (it would be incredible in the summer), but the food was hit & miss...and when we initially asked for just a few tacos to start and clarified we'd be ordering several more things for our main courses, the friendly waitress never came back and (after a while) we had to flag down a nice fella to submit our order. We were there much longer than planned and it was awkward to repeatedly be ignored by the girl walking directly past us. There was only 1 other occupied table at this time, so that was not the issue. If the food had had more flavor instead of being surprisingly bland, we'd give it another try - but, ultimately, it was just okay. We've frequented MANY authentic Mexican restaurants and even make our own al pastor from scratch (with ingredients we can't even get nearby), so maybe our expectations were just too high? Or maybe this was just an off night? But we won't be back.

This is the worst place I've ever been, I went to celebrate a friend's birthday and the service was terrible, we waited more than half an hour for someone to serve us, they dindt even offer us water, all the order was delayed, I received my pozole an hour after I ordered, I received another wrong order and I ended up eating something that wasn't mine!! And when I received my actually order I didn't accept it cus I didn't know what I was eating wasn't mine and the waitress was mean at me, worst experience of my life and of course my friend was upset as well. The food took so long that we couldn't order more than one time, I paid $45 without taxes for a small plate It felt like a scam paying for that and the staff was really rude at all the time, I wouldn't recommend this place never not even for the service or the food.
