Dosti is one of the most ethnic minority friendly restaurants I've ever been to in CanadaI'm tired of the unsanitary, white-washed, pretentious restaurants in Barrie that plaster misleading names to lure people in because it appears more "exotic" in their eyes. It's a mystery how anyone falls for culturally inauthentic food. I'm disgusted by the "fusion" restaurants that butcher ethnic cuisine.Since covid, restaurants - and their clientelle included - have made me feel ostracized and uncomfortable, taking a toll on my mental health. We deserve to lead a life without prejudice. When will cultural diversity be celebrated and acknowledged in Barrie? What if, I just want to grab food and not get looks for having a different skin color?Dosti is the golden exception. The staff and clientelle treat me with respect regardless of my skin color and are respectful towards the cuisine. Best authentic food for ethnic minorities in Barrie!

We were ordering from them about once a week, we always called in our orders to make sure that delivery companies aren't taking from their profits, and picked up the order ourselves. Recently we went to pick it up, and the restaurant was full of anti-maskers. The staff were not wearing a mask, and they had invited maskless patrons in, who filled in the restaurant, all with no precautions taken. We were given no warning that our food was being made under these conditions and are astounded they would compromise the health of their guests, especially without warning. Will not be supporting this restaurant (or sister company Simmering Kettle) ever again.

Illegal operating business with no insurance or licences. Food had hair in it and what appeared to be dandruff or large flakes of skin. After immediately leaving before touching the food, I was serverly ill in the parking lot.
Placed a delivery order for 2 items. Dessert was so stale it was hard to bite/chew. Banh mi should be on a baguette, was just on sub bun which couldn't handle the sauce so it was wet. ALSO the owner is a QAnon supporter.
