Ordered the Family Haddock deal on Good Friday and it was phenomenal. Huge serving, reasonable price and tasted great. The staff was working very hard as they were really busy but they were well organized with the Eat In, Takeout and mobile orders. Will definitely be back!!

One of the best fish and chips restaurants I’ve ever been to. The staff went out of their way to make sure our group of 16 would never forget this visit. The halibut and chips were outstanding. I’d come back the next time I was in town.

We have eaten at Halibut House in Barrie many times. But we noticed the last 2 times it wasn’t as good! Our meal cost $77.80. We always get Halibut, poutine, fries .. but yesterday the poutine was terrible. The gravy tasted awful. I couldn’t eat it. There were about 3 chunks of cheese curds in it as well. My adult son tried to eat some of my meal and he said something was off with the gravy as well. and the Halibut was very greasy. This is the 2nd time I found the food quality not up to standard as they were before. My family and myself were very disappointed.. I’m sorry to say anything negative because we’ve always enjoyed eating here.

Sitting in here for the first time ever and everything has been perfect if I could give a more star review I would definitely a place to come relax and have an amazing meal and the staff are phenomenal they engage with there customers as soon as you enter the door 10/10 perfection thank you for the best time and meal
I bought halibut and chips this evening, and there were absolutely terrible. The halibut was fishy, and the french fries are so greasy. It was ridiculous. I will never go back again.

The waitress we had was super kind, personable, and had great energy. She gave great recommendations on our meal and explained everything from taste to portion size.The food itself was delicious! The fish was a great portion and tasted amazing. The appetizer mushrooms were huge (just like the waitress promised) and great! Would definitely go again.
Was our go to place for fish and chips until our last visit. Was not a good experience, chips were dried out and was like eating sawdust and the halibut was half the size as previous visits. Sorry, won't be returning anytime soon
